Frayde Yudkowsky's style
💙 Warm 💡 Solution-oriented 🥇 Empowering 🎨 CreativeWhy Frayde Yudkowsky chose to be in the helping profession
Honestly? I’ve always had a heart that beats loud for people. Real people. Messy people. People who feel too much or not enough, who’ve been through storms and still have the courage to hope. Becoming a therapist wasn’t a job choice—it was soul-aligned. It was *the thing* that made sense for someone who’s always been the one holding space, listening deeply, and showing up.
My journey into mental health started with a deep love for human stories—and a lived experience of navigating the world as a System. As someone with DID, I don’t just know what it *looks* like to live with parts—I know what it *feels* like. I know the fear, the disorientation, the beauty, the strength. That lived truth infuses my work with radical empathy, deep safety, and a no-judgment zone. Every part of you is welcome in the room, because every part of *me* has fought to be.
I’ve worn a lot of hats over the years: therapist, founder, director, writer, editor, activist, speaker, volunteer, cheerleader. I’ve worked in psych hospitals, residential programs, nonprofits, and community initiatives. I’ve launched programs like the Sarah Gluck Respite and Miryam’s House to serve those who are too often overlooked. I’ve created support groups, danced in hospital halls with Mekimi, and held space for countless teens, adults, and families trying to hold it together.
I was named valedictorian during my BA (total nerd vibes), and I’ve continued my training with certifications in Flash, Sand Tray, DBT, CBT, Progressive Counting, Somatic Intervention, and more. Always learning. Always curious. Always pushing to grow—because the people I work with deserve nothing less.
I believe therapy should be human, creative, and collaborative. We go deep—but we also laugh, play, color outside the lines. I don’t do cookie-cutter therapy. I meet you where you are, honor what you bring, and hold space for what you’re still discovering.
At THRIVE! Mental Health, you’ll find a space that’s real, gentle, quirky, warm, and rooted in lived experience. Whether you’re in crisis, in-between, or just starting to wonder if healing is even possible—I’ll meet you there. Let’s build safety, softness, and strength. Let’s create something sacred.
You matter. Every part of you. And you are *so* welcome here.
Frayde Yudkowsky's approach
Inclusive, Evidence-Based Healing for Systems, LGBTQIAPD+ Folks & Complex Trauma Survivors
Real tools. Deep attunement. No one-size-fits-all.
At THRIVE! Mental Health, our approach is trauma-informed, intersectional, and radically client-centered. We honor the whole you—your identities, your parts, your story—with healing that is smart, safe, and tailored to your nervous system.
Whether you’re a polyfragmented system, queer, neurodivergent, or someone who’s lived through complex trauma—you belong here. And so do all your parts.
Laying the Groundwork: Safety First
We begin by creating a space where your system can breathe.
Together, we build trust with grounding skills, nervous system regulation, and practical stability—so every part of you feels safe enough to show up.
Evidence-Based Skills for Real Life
We blend CBT, DBT, ACT, and Positive Psychology to help untangle the stories in your head from the reality you're living.
You’ll learn concrete tools to navigate everyday triggers, big emotions, and self-sabotaging patterns—without judgment or pressure.
Mindfulness & Somatic Support
Trauma lives in the body.
We use body-based and sensory-aware techniques to reconnect you to your breath, your body, and your now.
Whether you dissociate, shut down, or get stuck in hyperdrive—we help your nervous system come home to itself.
Creative Healing: Because Words Aren’t Always Enough
Art, music, journaling, collage—we use expressive tools that give voice to the parts that don't (or won’t) talk.
Creative work invites gentle breakthroughs, deep reflection, and even joy along the way.
Trauma-Focused Techniques That Actually Work
Sand Tray & Sand Play Therapy
A powerful, low-verbal modality where you explore themes, relationships, and inner parts through miniature figures in sand. It’s soulful, symbolic, and surprisingly freeing.
Flash Technique
A cutting-edge trauma tool that reduces distress around traumatic memories—without diving into painful details or re-experiencing the trauma. It's fast, safe, and grounded in neuroscience.
Affirming Support for LGBTQIAPD+ Clients
Your identities matter. They’re not “side notes.”
We celebrate your queerness, gender journey, neurodivergence, and everything in between. This work is anti-shame, anti-oppression, and full of respect.
Specialized Support for DID & OSDD Systems
For systems, healing is relational and internal.
We work to build internal communication, reduce conflict between parts, and create safety from the inside out.
No forced integration. No pathologizing your parts. Just real support, at your pace, with deep compassion for every layer of your story.
This Work Is Heart Work

Let’s THRIVE!—together. 💫
What you can expect from sessions with Frayde Yudkowsky
Expect a space that’s safe, creative, and completely judgment-free. We’ll move at your pace—whether that means sitting with silence, diving deep, laughing through the hard stuff, or slowly building trust with each part of you. I bring a mix of evidence-based tools and soul-based presence: parts work, Flash, Sand Tray, DBT skills, somatic grounding, and expressive arts. But most of all, I bring me—fully present, warm, and in your corner.
No pressure. No performance. Just real, honest work—messy at times, meaningful always. We’ll build safety inside and out, explore what hurts, and nurture what helps. You’ll be seen, supported, and never alone in the healing. Every part of you is welcome here.
Let’s do this—together.
Frayde Yudkowsky's experience working with the Jewish community
My heart has always been deeply rooted in the Jewish community. From classrooms to clinics, nonprofits to psych hospitals, I’ve had the honor of walking alongside our people through pain, growth, and healing. Whether someone is seeking support, clarity, or just a safe space to exhale—I’m here for it.
I grew up in Australia and have lived in multiple cities and communities around the USA, giving me the gift of connecting with many kinds of Jews—from Syrian to Sephardi, Modern Orthodox to Yeshivish, Chassidish to unaffiliated. I’ve worked in Jewish schools and alternative high schools, led support groups, and volunteered with countless community initiatives. These experiences have allowed me to hold space across a wide spectrum of beliefs, cultures, and struggles—always with compassion and curiosity.
I get the nuances. The quiet pressures. The love for tradition. The pain that sometimes hides beneath the surface. I know how to honor both individuality and community—how to hold space for the questions and the complexities.
My work is grounded in deep respect, zero judgment, and a genuine desire to uplift and empower every person I work with. Serving the Jewish community isn’t just part of my job—it’s a calling I carry with pride and heart.
