Chaya Goldstein, LMHC's style
🎯 Direct 🥇 Empowering 🌎 Holistic 🎨 CreativeWhy Chaya Goldstein, LMHC chose to be in the helping profession
I’ve always been naturally open-minded, intuitive, and curious, with a deep pull toward understanding people beyond what’s on the surface. While working as a teacher, I noticed many students struggling with challenges they couldn’t name—relational or emotional wounds that went unrecognized. I became someone they felt safe opening up to, learning to recognize the subtle signs of trauma and support them in ways that were attuned and healing.
Over time, it became clear I was called to support people more deeply, guiding them in those vulnerable, often unseen places. That realization led me to therapy, where I continue to create spaces that feel safe, supportive, and empowering.
Chaya Goldstein, LMHC's approach
My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and grounded in a psychodynamic understanding. I work extensively with complex trauma (C-PTSD), supporting clients whose experiences have been shaped by long-term stress, relational wounds, or early life dynamics.
I tailor each session to your needs, your pace, and what feels most important in the moment. My work is gentle and intuitive, with a strong focus on creating emotional safety and supporting nervous system regulation.
Together, we slow down, build awareness, and begin to process and integrate your experiences in a way that feels manageable, grounded, and empowering. Over time, this approach fosters deeper understanding, emotional balance, and meaningful, lasting change.
What you can expect from sessions with Chaya Goldstein, LMHC
In our sessions, you can expect to be truly heard and understood. I provide a safe, supportive, non-judgmental space where you can show up as you are, knowing everything you bring is welcome. From the start, I focus on building trust and helping you feel held throughout the process.
Together, we’ll gently explore what’s happening beneath the surface, bringing curiosity and care to your thoughts, emotions, and patterns. Rather than rushing to fix or change anything, we take the time to understand, allowing insight to develop in a way that feels meaningful and grounded. Our work moves at your pace, giving you the space to process in a way that feels natural and supportive. I believe that when you’re given that kind of space, clarity begins to emerge on its own.
Throughout our work, I use supportive techniques tailored to you, always guided by your needs and goals. This is a collaborative process, moving at a pace that feels balanced and responsive. Over time, it can help you feel steadier, clearer, and more connected to yourself. The goal isn’t just change, but change that is aligned, sustainable, and true to who you are.
Chaya Goldstein, LMHC's experience working with the Jewish community
I work within the Jewish community, providing culturally sensitive support that honors values, traditions, and individual backgrounds, while also working with clients from diverse backgrounds with the same openness and care.
I have extensive experience treating trauma, including complex and relational trauma—many clients may not even know the term, yet they feel its profound impact on their relationships, self-esteem, and emotional wellbeing.
In addition to individual work, I facilitate art therapy groups for women in our communities and for therapists, offering a space to express, process, and connect while fostering shared understanding and support.
Whether in sessions or groups, I provide a grounded, supportive environment where clients can explore emotions, relational patterns, and personal challenges safely, building resilience, clarity, and meaningful growth.
