Cassie Mariscal, LCSW's style
🎯 Direct 💡 Solution-oriented 🥇 Empowering 🌎 HolisticWhy Cassie Mariscal, LCSW chose to be in the helping profession
I chose to be in the helping profession because I believe meaningful work should improve the lives of others in a direct and lasting way. Throughout my life and career, I have been drawn to roles where service, responsibility, and problem-solving matter. Helping others gives me a strong sense of purpose because it allows me to use my experience, judgment, and compassion to support people during important moments in their lives. I value the opportunity to be present for others when they are facing challenges, offering guidance and encouragement that can help them move forward with greater confidence.
I understand that people often need patience, support, and someone who is willing to listen without judgment as they navigate difficult situations. I believe meaningful change begins when people feel heard, respected, and empowered to take the next step. My goal is to help others move forward with dignity and confidence while recognizing the strengths they already possess. For me, the helping profession is not just a career choice. It is a way to serve others, lead with compassion, and make a positive and lasting difference in the lives of the people I have the privilege to support.
Cassie Mariscal, LCSW's approach
My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, respect, collaboration, and the use of multiple evidence-based approaches. I believe that every person’s story matters and that healing begins when people feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. I strive to create a safe and trusting space where clients can explore their challenges, recognize their strengths, and work toward meaningful change at their own pace. It is important to me that therapy is a collaborative process where clients feel valued, respected, and supported as they move through their personal journey.
I believe that each person has unique experiences, needs, and goals, and I tailor my approach to meet clients where they are. Depending on each client’s needs, I may draw from different evidence-based methods to help them develop insight, build coping skills, and better understand themselves. My goal is to support clients in making choices that align with their values while fostering growth, dignity, and overall well-being. Through a compassionate and collaborative approach, I aim to help clients feel empowered as they work toward meaningful and lasting change.
What you can expect from sessions with Cassie Mariscal, LCSW
What you can expect from our sessions is a supportive, respectful, and goal-oriented space where we work together to better understand your concerns and identify practical steps toward change. Sessions will focus on your individual needs, strengths, and personal goals while using evidence-based approaches that best fit your situation. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process, and my role is to support you as we explore challenges, develop useful tools, and work toward meaningful growth in a safe and nonjudgmental environment.
When appropriate, therapy may be short-term and solution-focused, especially when specific concerns can be addressed within a limited number of sessions. However, the length and direction of therapy will always depend on your progress, needs, and the goals we establish together. I strive to provide a space where you feel comfortable being open, understood, and supported throughout the process. Together, we will focus on building insight, creating positive change, and helping you move forward in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable.
Cassie Mariscal, LCSW's experience working with the Jewish community
During these difficult times, many Jewish individuals may find it challenging to feel fully heard, understood, and supported by therapists outside the Jewish community. Having lived in diverse Jewish communities throughout the East Coast for my entire life, I bring a deep personal understanding of the values, experiences, and concerns that can shape Jewish life. I understand that our backgrounds, communities, and shared experiences can influence the way we see the world and navigate challenges. My goal is to create a space where members of the Jewish community feel comfortable bringing their full selves into therapy and know they are being understood.
I strive to provide a supportive environment where Jewish individuals feel seen, respected, and valued, knowing they are working with someone who recognizes the cultural, religious, and communal context they may be carrying into therapy. I believe that feeling understood is an important part of building trust and creating meaningful progress. My hope is that clients feel safe exploring their experiences, challenges, and goals with someone who appreciates the unique aspects of Jewish life and identity. Through a compassionate and culturally aware approach, I aim to support clients in their growth and healing journey.
