I chose to become a therapist because Iâve seen firsthand how transformative it can be to feel genuinely heard. Early in my work in helping roles, I witnessed the quiet but powerful impact of presence, empathy, and thoughtful support. Experiencing therapy as a client myself deepened my understanding of how creating a safe space allows for growth, clarity, and healing. Those experiences didnât just guide my careerâthey shaped my belief in the profound difference that genuine human connection can make.
I approach therapy with a commitment to listening deeply and holding space for each personâs unique journey. I believe that even small moments of understanding and acknowledgment can spark meaningful change. My work is grounded in empathy, patience, and respect, creating an environment where clients feel seen, understood, and supported. Together, we explore challenges and opportunities with honesty and care, helping to uncover the strengths and insights that already exist within you.
Rachel Molly Moses, LMHC's approach
My approach to therapy is grounded in patience, genuine empathy, and a belief in the power of connection. I am committed to creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and fully understood. Building a trusting relationship is at the heart of my work, because meaningful growth begins when you feel secure enough to be open and honest. From that foundation, I tailor our sessions to your individual strengths, challenges, and goals.
I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches, thoughtfully integrating Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT), CBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing (MI) to support your journey. Each session is guided by what you need most in the moment, combining practical strategies with deeper exploration and reflection. My goal is to help you gain clarity, strengthen coping skills, and build insight in a way that feels authentic and sustainable. Together, we focus on growth, healing, and discovering the resources you already carry within yourself.
What you can expect from sessions with Rachel Molly Moses, LMHC
In our first session, weâll take time to explore whatâs bringing you to therapy and review your mental health history. Itâs also an important chance for us to begin building rapport and get a sense of how we connect. After the intake, weâll meet for 45- or 60-minute sessions, depending on what feels most supportive for you. You can expect me to be warm, engaged, and to bring in humor when it feels right, because I believe that even small moments of lightness can help the work feel more human and accessible.
I approach therapy with the belief that meaningful progress rests on a strong and trusting relationship. Without that foundation, real growth can be difficult to achieve. Once weâve built solid footing, I will gently challenge you within the safety of a supportive relationship, helping you stretch, reflect, and discover new perspectives. I show up authentically in every session, and my hope is that you feel safe doing the same, creating a space where honesty, curiosity, and connection guide the work we do together.
Rachel Molly Moses, LMHC's experience working with the Jewish community
I have experience working with individuals across a wide range of religious observance, spiritual practice, and cultural connection to Judaism. I understand that there are many meaningful ways to identify as Jewishâwhether through religion, culture, spirituality, or heritage. My work is grounded in respect for the diversity of beliefs, practices, and lived experiences within the Jewish community, as well as in all communities.
I also bring my own personal connection to Judaism, which gives me insight into some of the values and nuances that may shape your experience. At the same time, I recognize that your relationship to Judaism may be similar to mine or entirely different, and I approach that with openness, curiosity, and respect. My goal is to create a space where your identity, beliefs, and experiences can be explored authentically, without judgment, and with a deep sense of understanding.

-
Rachel is a deeply empathetic clinician who consistently goes above and beyond for the people she serves. She thinks carefully about the complexity of mental health concerns and tailors treatment with intention, using evidence-based frameworks and strong clinical judgment. She reflects thoughtfully on sessions, actively seeks consultation through supervision and professional networks, and integrates feedback to sharpen her work over time. I loved working with Rachel and have been grateful to continue our professional relationship as I watch her keep growing and raising the bar in her clinical care.
