Shoshana Ort's style
💙 Warm 😃 Humorous 💪 Challenging 🥇 Empowering 💠Open mindedWhy Shoshana Ort chose to be in the helping profession
I decided to practice psychotherapy because I have gone through a number of challenges throughout my life and have seen the tremendous value in having an adequate therapist who can help you not only deal better with the stress it brings, but grow from the challenges. I was driven to find a way to really help people deal with their anxiety and reach their goals. When I learned how to REWIRE the anxious brain, I felt like I finally found the missing piece I had been searching for. Now, with this technique, I aid clients in figuring out where their anxiety stems from, leading to different approaches for various anxieties and individuals. I also work with trauma and addiction, using EMDR techniques, and other trauma focused therapies.
Shoshana Ort's approach
My therapeutic approaches vary depending on the individual client, and what they want to work on. I often use psychoeducation, DBT, CBT, Exposure therapy (for specific anxieties) EFT approaches for relationships, EMDR for trauma and anxiety, and inner child work.

Shoshana Ort's experience working with the Jewish community
Having grown up and being part of the Jewish community, I feel I have a better understanding of the Jewish life, and the difficulties those living in it, are experiencing. It's helpful for clients not to have to explain all the traditions and laws that we keep, before delving into the actual issues they want to address.
