I've come to believe that in life we meet certain individuals as messengers, tasking them with navigating their own trials before becoming adept guides for others. It's about going through trials and tribulations and being able to give back once healed.
In the words of Victor Frankl, despair is essentially suffering minus meaning. It's my conviction that people genuinely strive to improve their lives, yet they might find themselves without the necessary tools and skills to unlock happiness and goodness. I take pleasure in imparting these invaluable insights, observing the transformative impact they have on people's lives for the better.
Sarah Yoffe, Certified Life Coach's approach
My coaching philosophy centers around a process of acknowledging and embracing emotions. I encourage individuals to first immerse themselves in their feelings, providing the necessary space for their bodies to absorb and process these emotions. For those who find emotions difficult to sit with for today, I incorporate some Somatic exercises to help lessen the feeling and/or the pain through a quicker modality. There is also IFS/Inner Child that can be brought in when needed. I vary modalities based on the client as it is not a one size fits all. I work with the client to see what feels most comfortable for them to use in that moment.
It's about allowing oneself to sit with those sentiments before incorporating practical tools and skills to navigate through them. The emphasis lies in facing challenges head-on rather than evading or circumventing them, as unresolved issues tend to resurface elsewhere.
I firmly believe that the body keeps score, and by imparting coaching and teaching tools today, we pave the way for a more serene and composed tomorrow. The distinction between serenity and chaos often lies in the ability to equip oneself with the right tools and skills for the journey ahead.
What you can expect from sessions with Sarah Yoffe, Certified Life Coach
Our sessions present a journey towards rediscovering calmness within your body and regaining control over your breath. I incorporate somatic experiences and effective breathing tools to provide immediate relief and tranquility in the present moment. Following this, I employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to reframe the neurotransmitters in your brain, offering a fresh perspective and disrupting patterns of negativity that may have been ingrained over time.
In addition to these therapeutic approaches, I advocate for the healing power of journaling, meditation if needed and guide you in creating sober plans and daily routines that contribute to a more successful and fulfilling day. Furthermore, I introduce practical techniques such as cost-to-benefit analysis, empowering you to navigate day-to-day life despite the challenges you may be facing. Together, we'll work towards not just managing the pain but actively enhancing your overall well-being.
Sarah Yoffe, Certified Life Coach's experience working with the Jewish community
My engagement with the Jewish community has been incredibly rewarding. I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals, and there's a unique joy in collaborating with those who actively seek assistance and healing. The spiritual dimension of the healing process becomes more accessible and enriching when individuals already have a religious foundation.
Being part of a community, especially within the Jewish context, offers a valuable support system. The shared values and connections create a network that enhances the healing journey. I've found that the strength of this community lies not only in its unity but also in the multitude of organizations dedicated to addressing various challenges. The array of resources available allows for a tailored approach to healing, making the journey towards well-being both fulfilling and effective.
