I have always been fascinated by understanding people on a deep, genuine level. There's something truly fulfilling about connecting with others, getting to know their unique experiences, and witnessing what shapes their worldview. At the same time, I have a natural sense of empathy and objectivity when it comes to those who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or are going through a difficult period in their lives. I understand that getting out of those spaces isnât easy, and it often requires a compassionate guide.
Over time, I witnessed firsthand the remarkable transformations that can happen through effective therapyâchanges that extend beyond just feeling better. Therapy offers increased self-awareness, relief from long-standing patterns, and a sense of inner peace that comes from resolving whatâs been weighing a person down for so long. I saw how therapy could bring someone to a place of emotional freedom, clarity, and a truer version of themselves.
At some point, it hit me: I, too, could be the therapist holding space for people to experience these powerful shifts. I could be the one to create that safe, nurturing environment where my clients can feel seen and heard, while they grow, heal, and become empowered in ways they didnât think were possible. That realization felt like a calling I couldnât ignore, and I knew I wanted to be part of helping people develop a deeper, more authentic relationship with themselves and others.
Tzvi Friedman, LPC's approach
I have a deep passion for supporting men in finding their inner strength, learning effective ways to cope with stress, and nurturing a solid sense of self-respect. I believe that true growth comes from a place of acceptance, so I focus on creating a safe and welcoming environment where clients can truly relax, feel understood, and access deeper levels of self-awareness.
In our work together, Iâm not here to push for immediate change or set an agenda that forces progress. Instead, I stay attuned to your needs, making sure you feel seen and heard at every step of the way. By holding space without judgment, I help clients discover their own capacity for growth, which often leads to powerful and lasting transformations. The goal is not just change for the sake of change, but rather to facilitate a shift that feels authentic and sustainable.
Sometimes, the most important change is learning to accept and embrace parts of ourselves that arenât ready to shift just yet. Thatâs okay. Therapy isnât about pushing or fixingâitâs about respecting where you are and trusting that the right pace will reveal itself. I see my role as a guide who helps you tap into your own inborn qualities and strengths, allowing you to show me where to go and what direction feels right. Together, we find the path that aligns with your goals, creating space for healing, self-discovery, and authentic growth.
What you can expect from sessions with Tzvi Friedman, LPC
Each session lasts between 50 and 55 minutes, and during that time, my focus is entirely on creating an experience thatâs deeply beneficial for you. This is your space to step away from lifeâs demands and stressorsâa place where you can just be, without pressure or judgment. I strive to provide a calm, supportive environment where you can explore whatâs really going on beneath the surface, all while feeling truly seen and understood.
In our time together, Iâll meet you with curiosity, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to supporting your personal growth. Weâll navigate challenges, uncover patterns, and approach things from different perspectives that may offer new insights. As we delve deeper, youâll find that itâs not just about âworking throughâ issues, but also about cultivating a stronger sense of confidence, inner peace, and clarity about who you are and what you want.
Thereâs no rush or fixed agenda hereâjust a natural, organic process of exploration. Iâm here to guide you, but the direction is yours to set. Our sessions are a space for genuine growth, where youâll be able to connect with yourself more fully and walk away feeling more empowered, centered, and ready to take on whatever comes next.
Tzvi Friedman, LPC's experience working with the Jewish community
Iâve had the privilege of working with Jewish clients from diverse backgrounds, both in a community clinic and in my private practice. This has included individuals from various levels of observance, spanning from highly observant to more secular. I approach each person with genuine respect, meeting them where they are, and creating a space that is free from bias or preconceived notions. I believe that trust is built through understanding, and my clients feel that I am attuned to the nuances of their upbringing and values, which helps them open up more freely.
For many, therapy can be daunting, especially when it involves navigating cultural and religious contexts. My clients have shared that they feel a sense of safety and comfort knowing that I not only understand their backgrounds but also embrace the shared identity that we have. There is a certain connectedness that comes from working with clients who share my Jewish pride and heritage. This connection, while subtle, fosters a deeper level of trust and enables us to address complex issues with greater ease and sensitivity. Itâs an honor to offer support that respects and honors our shared traditions while helping each client find their unique path to healing and growth.
