Why Tav Hariri, MS, RD chose to be in the helping profession

Having faced my own health challenges, I’ve come to deeply understand the transformative power of proper nutrition. I’ve seen firsthand how nourishing the body can lead to more energy, better health outcomes, and waking up each day with a positive relationship with food. These experiences are what fueled my passion to become a Registered Dietitian. For me, it’s not just about giving advice, it's about genuinely walking alongside others on their unique path to wellness.

There’s something incredibly fulfilling about empowering people to take control of their health and feel confident in their choices. Whether someone is navigating a chronic condition or simply seeking to improve their overall well-being, I strive to meet them with empathy, evidence-based knowledge, and personalized strategies that make a lasting impact. My goal is to create a supportive space where individuals feel heard, encouraged, and capable of achieving their health goals.

What you can expect from sessions with Tav Hariri, MS, RD

In our sessions, you can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where your goals and concerns are always the priority. I'll take the time to understand your unique lifestyle, preferences, and challenges so that together, we can develop a personalized plan that fits your needs. I’ll provide practical tools, evidence-based guidance, and ongoing encouragement to help you build sustainable habits that empower you to feel your best. Whether it’s through nutrition counseling or coaching, our work will be collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to support your long-term health and well-being. Above all, you’ll leave each session feeling heard, confident, and equipped to take positive steps forward on your wellness journey.

Initial Nutrition Consultation (60 Minutes)

Your first appointment is a 60-minute, in-depth session focused on getting to know you—your health story, daily routines, food preferences, and personal wellness goals. During this time, we’ll explore your current eating patterns, lifestyle factors, and any health conditions, medications, or supplements that may influence your nutrition needs.

This session is all about understanding the full picture of your health. Using what we learn, we’ll begin developing a personalized nutrition roadmap designed to support your goals, align with your lifestyle, and set the stage for sustainable success.

Follow-Up Sessions (45-60 minutes)

Follow-up sessions are where progress happens. These visits help us assess how your plan is working, celebrate your wins, and make any adjustments needed to keep you moving forward. Typically scheduled every 1–2 weeks during the first few months, follow-ups provide accountability, motivation, and ongoing education to strengthen your confidence around food and daily choices.

Each follow-up is a chance to ask questions, explore challenges, and receive continued support and resources. You’ll gain practical tools, recipe inspiration, and supplement guidance tailored to your evolving goals—helping you create lasting change and a healthier relationship with food.

Tav Hariri, MS, RD's experience working with the Jewish community

As a Registered Dietitian with strong roots in the Jewish community, I bring both professional expertise and a personal understanding of Jewish culture, values, and lifestyle. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of leading nutrition workshops for Olami in my hometown, as well as seminars and educational classes for young women at Aish in Israel.

My work frequently involves supporting Jewish clients in creating balanced, practical nutrition strategies that align with kosher guidelines, holiday observances, and community traditions. As a Modern Orthodox dietitian, I live the same rhythm as my clients; from shopping in kosher markets to preparing for Yom Tov and Shabbat gatherings with family and friends.

As a Ba’alat Teshuva dietitian, I bring both personal insight and professional expertise to my work. Having experienced my own journey of becoming observant, I understand firsthand the balance between embracing Torah values and navigating modern life. This background gives me a unique sensitivity when supporting clients who wish to maintain health and wellness within the framework of Jewish practice. Together, we explore practical ways to honor Shabbat, Yom Tov, and kashrut, while nurturing both spiritual and physical well-being.

I have also had the privilege of working with non-observant and culturally Jewish individuals who may not keep kosher or observe Shabbat. In these cases, my approach centers entirely on their individual goals. Whether it’s weight management, improving lab values, managing digestive issues, or building a healthier relationship with food. My mission is to provide compassionate, personalized care to every member of the Jewish community, regardless of background or level of observance, ensuring that each person feels understood, supported, and empowered on their wellness journey.
