Leah Rabovsky, LCSW's style
🎯 Direct 💙 Warm 🥇 Empowering 🤝 CollaborativeWhy Leah Rabovsky, LCSW chose to be in the helping profession
I became a therapist because I’ve always been deeply curious about people: the humanity we all share, our struggles, our resilience, and the stories that shape us. My work is relational and trauma-informed, grounded in safety, connection, and honesty. I’m not here to “fix” you, but rather to walk with you as you rediscover emotional freedom. I have seen how pain can turn into resilience when it’s finally met with compassion instead of criticism.
I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel seen, understood, and supported. My passion is helping people find safety within themselves again after experiencing trauma or loss and to rediscover peace, confidence, and emotional freedom.
Leah Rabovsky, LCSW's approach
My approach is flexible and personalized drawing from trauma-informed and attachment-based models. I utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic techniques to help you connect with different parts of yourself in an embodied way that fosters healing and self-compassion. This is a non-pathologizing approach that many find deeply empowering especially for those recovering from childhood trauma. I also incorporate psychodynamic and attachment-based therapy to explore how past relational patterns shape your present experiences. For clients healing from a single-incident trauma, Trauma-Focused CBT can help support a structured and effective processing of the event.
What you can expect from sessions with Leah Rabovsky, LCSW
As a relational therapist who prioritizes the therapeutic relationship helping you feel safe in the alliance is paramount. You can expect a space that feels grounding and real. You don’t have to edit yourself here. I believe healing happens when we stop performing and start being real, messy, human, and honest. Together we will explore your past, present, and future and what’s happening beneath the surface. You can anticipate a collaborative compassionate environment so you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Leah Rabovsky, LCSW's experience working with the Jewish community
As an Orthodox Jew, I understand the unique cultural and emotional challenges within the Jewish community. I also recognize that beginning therapy can feel overwhelming—especially when stigma or fear of judgment are part of the story. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in Frum schools and camps, gaining firsthand insight into the struggles and resilience in the Jewish community.
Whether you identify as Chassidish, Yeshivish, Modern Orthodox, Sephardic, secular, or unaffiliated, I offer a culturally sensitive and warm space to explore your mental health and spiritual journey.
If anxiety, trauma, or grief are showing up for you—or if you’re watching your teen struggle and don’t know where to turn—you’re not alone. Healing is possible.
As a therapist in New York, I offer virtual and in-person sessions in the Five Towns. I offer a free 15-minute consultation where we can connect further.
