Why Elisheva Eliach, LMSW chose to be in the helping profession

I chose this work because I believe people are capable of far more change than they often realize. Beneath our histories, choices, and adaptations, I believe there is a core self, a “soul,” if you will, that is steady, curious, and inherently whole. Therapy can help us reconnect with that part of ourselves beneath the patterns we have developed to survive, belong, and navigate our lives.

I became a therapist because I want to help people move beyond simply coping or understanding their pain toward genuine transformation. I find this work deeply meaningful: helping someone understand herself more deeply, reclaim her own voice, and create relationships and a life that feel more authentic, connected, and alive.

Elisheva Eliach, LMSW's approach

My approach is warm, depth-oriented, relational, and focused on meaningful change. I draw from trauma-informed, somatic, EMDR, family systems, Jungian, narrative, and mindfulness-based approaches, tailoring therapy to the person rather than following a single formula.

I work with women and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship and marriage struggles, resentment, boundaries, people-pleasing, intimacy, motherhood, identity, family patterns, and self-worth. We look beneath the presenting problem to understand what is really happening and work toward lasting change, not simply symptom management.

What you can expect from sessions with Elisheva Eliach, LMSW

You can expect to feel deeply heard while also being thoughtfully challenged. We will look beneath the immediate problem to understand the patterns, beliefs, emotions, and relationships shaping it; and translate that insight into meaningful change.

Sessions are collaborative and personalized. When helpful, we may begin with guided breathwork, grounding, meditation, gentle movement, or music to slow down and create an attuned space for the work. From there, we may explore emotions in the body, family-of-origin patterns, trauma, boundaries, relationships, or new ways of responding.

My goal is not simply for you to understand yourself better, but to help you experience real change: greater self-trust, healthier relationships, emotional freedom, and more vitality in your life.

Elisheva Eliach, LMSW's experience working with the Jewish community

As a Jewish educator and therapist, I have spent years immersed in Jewish community, learning, spirituality, and family life. I have particular familiarity with Orthodox and frum communities and the ways faith, marriage, family, motherhood, sexuality, community expectations, and religious values can intersect with emotional wellbeing.

For some clients, Judaism and spirituality are deeply meaningful sources of strength, identity, connection, and healing, and can be an important part of our therapeutic toolkit. For others, aspects of religious or community life may feel complicated, painful, triggering, or in conflict with their own needs and values. Therapy can be a place to step back, ask questions, and explore these experiences in a genuinely nonjudgmental space.

I work with Jewish women across a range of backgrounds and levels of observance. You don't have to fit neatly into a particular religious identity, and you don't have to leave any part of yourself at the door. We can make space for faith, doubt, conflict, spirituality, or simply the need to figure out what feels true for you.
