Why Chaya Satt chose to be in the helping profession

The desire to make a positive impact in people's lives by offering genuine and caring support has been with me since I was young. Becoming a therapist has allowed me to fulfill this calling in the most rewarding way. I've always been intrigued by the complexity of the human mind and strongly believe that helping people understand themselves better is a step toward healing and living healthier lives.

My decision to become a therapist was sparked by a realization at a young age that there was a need for more compassionate and effective support in the field.

I'm truly passionate about helping individuals discover their inner strength and use it to improve and heal. I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live their best life and reach their full potential. It's a goal that's attainable for anyone, and I'm committed to helping people achieve it.

Chaya Satt's approach

In my approach to therapy, I place paramount importance on building a genuine human connection. While I use therapeutic modalities like EMDR, SE, and Psychodynamic Exploration as valuable tools in the process, I view them as secondary to the core of our therapeutic journey, which is the connection, care, and open rapport we establish together.

Here are the key aspects of my approach:

Client-Centered: I believe in putting the client at the helm, allowing them to lead the way in choosing the modalities to use, deciding how much to disclose, and when to do so. This approach empowers the client to take charge of their healing process, making them active participants in their journey towards well-being.

Honesty: Honesty is the cornerstone of our therapeutic relationship. I provide a safe and open space where honesty can flourish, enabling us to navigate the complexities of your experiences with transparency and trust.

Healing and Productive: When you enter therapy, you have a specific outcome in mind, a desired goal you're striving to achieve. My objective is to guide you on this path, working collaboratively to help you reach the objectives you've set for yourself.

Trauma-Focused: We all grow up with various life circumstances, some of which may have been challenging or traumatic. These experiences leave imprints and mold our adult selves. We can facilitate the healing process by delving into these life circumstances and giving attention to the parts of ourselves that may have been neglected. This, in turn, paves the way for a more fulfilling and well-rounded adult life, where unresolved traumas no longer hinder your progress.

My therapeutic approach centers on human connection and a client-focused process, which I believe are essential in fostering healing and helping you navigate a more enriched and satisfying life.

Chaya Satt's experience working with the Jewish community

I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals from various backgrounds, and I firmly believe in offering support to anyone in need, as the human condition knows no boundaries of race or ethnicity. However, given my background as an Orthodox Jew and my residence in Israel for the past 18 years, it has been particularly fulfilling for me to extend my support to fellow Jewish individuals.

The shared cultural and religious connections within the Jewish community provide a unique and enriching dynamic to our interactions. It allows for a deeper understanding of the cultural nuances, traditions, and experiences that shape our lives as Jewish individuals. This shared background creates a strong sense of camaraderie, making it all the more rewarding to be of assistance within our community.

Working with the Jewish community has allowed me to provide a level of support that is both empathetic and culturally sensitive. It's a way for me to give back to a community that I hold dear and to help individuals navigate life's challenges while honoring their unique cultural and religious perspectives.
