Why Yacova Leifert chose to be in the helping profession

I believe that every child thrives when given the right support, and every parent deserves the tools, guidance, and encouragement to help their family flourish. Parenting is one of the most meaningful roles we take on, yet it often comes without a roadmap. The truth is, I wish I had had a parenting coach when I was raising my own children. Having someone to offer perspective, practical strategies, and support along the way would have made a tremendous difference, and that experience continues to shape the work I do today.

I often say that becoming a parenting coach chose me. For many years, I worked as a private toddler teacher, helping young children develop social skills while also supporting the parents who were navigating the joys and challenges of raising them. Over time, I came to understand that helping children and supporting parents are deeply connected. When parents feel confident, supported, and equipped with the right tools, the entire family benefits. That realization inspired me to be of service to my community by guiding families toward greater connection, understanding, and harmony at home. My goal is to help parents feel empowered in their role and create stronger, more positive relationships with their children.

Yacova Leifert's approach

My coaching approach is personalized to each family and begins with understanding what is happening in their day-to-day lives and what inspired them to reach out for support. I take the time to listen to parents' experiences, challenges, and goals, meeting them exactly where they are. Together, we build on the strengths, tools, and parenting strategies they already have in place, recognizing that every family brings valuable resources to the process. Rather than focusing only on behaviors, I work to understand the bigger picture, including the child's individual needs and the family dynamic as a whole.

My goal is to help families uncover what may be underneath a child's behavior and identify where additional support, skill-building, or adjustments can make a meaningful difference. I combine Montessori principles, Love Languages, and a Gentle Parenting approach to help parents strengthen their connection with their children and create a more peaceful, supportive home environment. I believe that lasting change happens through consistency, understanding, and practical tools that fit naturally into everyday family life. To support that process, I also provide ongoing WhatsApp support between sessions, giving parents a space to ask questions, receive guidance, and practice implementing what we discuss in real-life situations as they arise.

What you can expect from sessions with Yacova Leifert

Many parents come to coaching because they want to break cycles and parent differently than they were parented, but they are not always sure how to get there. They know they want something different for their family, yet often feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what to do in challenging moments. Through our work together, parents gain practical tools and strategies they may never have known existed, while also developing a deeper understanding of their child's behavior, needs, and emotional world. These shifts in perspective often create meaningful changes in the home and strengthen the connection between parent and child.

A core part of my work is helping parents understand that children's behavior is a form of communication. Instead of asking, "How can I stop this behavior?" I help parents begin asking, "What does my child need, and how can I support them?" When parents learn to look beneath the behavior, they are often able to respond with greater confidence, empathy, and effectiveness. Together, we identify what is driving the behavior and develop practical, personalized approaches that support both the child and the parent.

I provide customized tools, strategies, and scripts tailored to each family's unique dynamics, rather than relying on one-size-fits-all solutions. Unlike generic parenting books or advice, my coaching takes into account the specific children in the home, the parents' perspectives, and the realities of their everyday lives. Along with tools for navigating difficult moments, parents learn proactive ways to build trust, emotional regulation, resilience, and healthier family patterns that support long-term growth. My goal is not simply to help families get through parenting's challenges, but to help them thrive with greater confidence, connection, and joy.

Yacova Leifert's experience working with the Jewish community

Working with the Jewish community has been both an honor and a privilege. I feel deeply grateful for the opportunity to support families during some of the most meaningful and formative years of their lives. I believe that every child and every family carries immeasurable value, and that the relationship between a parent and child has the power to shape not only the present, but future generations as well. When that connection is nurtured with intention, understanding, and care, its impact can extend far beyond the walls of the home.

I am passionate about helping parents raise children who feel emotionally secure, spiritually grounded, and mentally resilient. Strengthening the parent-child relationship often creates a ripple effect, leading to healthier family dynamics, stronger communication, and patterns that can be passed down for years to come. My goal is to help families build deeper connection, greater trust, and a more intentional approach to parenting that reflects their values and vision for their children. Being trusted to walk alongside families in that process is something I hold with great gratitude, humility, and respect.
