Don’t be afraid to be Mama Bear sometimes.
When your child’s needs are on the line, your instincts are there for a reason.
So often we’re told to wait—wait for the school to see a problem, wait for a team to decide, wait for a doctor to listen.
But you know your child better than anyone else.
If services are being denied, concerns are being dismissed, or something just doesn’t feel right, it’s okay to speak up.
You don’t need permission to protect your child’s well-being.
No one will ever advocate for your child the way you will.
Stand firm, even when the answer is “no,” and ask again.
Do it with grace, do it with respect, but do it with strength.
Because sometimes the Mama Bear needs to come out—and your child needs to know you’ll always stand in the gap for them.
