Why Tova Wacholder chose to be in the helping profession

I’ve always had a genuine love for people and a deep desire to see them thrive. There’s something incredibly rewarding about watching someone begin to believe in themselves and start living a life that feels right and true to who they really are. It’s not about having all the answers or fixing someone’s problems; it’s about being there as they figure out what they need and supporting them through the ups and downs.

We all start from different places, and life can be tough. But I believe that no matter where you are, there’s always a way to move forward. Seeing that shift—when someone realizes they can change their life, even in small ways—is what fills me up. It’s those moments of growth, those little victories, that remind me why I’m here, doing this work. It’s about more than just a job; it’s about connecting with people and being a part of their journey toward something better.

Tova Wacholder's approach

I specialize in supporting young adults and adults who are navigating the often complex and challenging dynamics of relationships, particularly those rooted in their family of origin. I know that each person’s journey is unique, and I’m committed to honoring your individual needs and preferences throughout our work together.

I firmly believe that your path to a better life should be guided by your own intuition and deep understanding of where you are and what you need. My role isn’t to lead but to walk alongside you, listening deeply, truly understanding your goals, and supporting you in a way that feels authentic to you.

Together, we’ll meet you exactly where you are, and from there, we’ll embark on a collaborative journey. It’s about working together to help you reach the place you aspire to be, with your voice and your insights guiding the way.

What you can expect from sessions with Tova Wacholder

When you choose to work with me, you can expect a coach who is deeply committed to your well-being and genuinely invested in your success. Our time together isn’t just about ticking off goals; it’s about creating a space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.

From our very first session, we’ll dive into what brought you here and what you hope to achieve. I believe in the power of collaboration, so your input will guide us every step of the way. This is your journey, and I’m here to walk alongside you, offering insights and support that align with your needs.

While coaching is distinct from therapy, it can complement therapeutic work beautifully. That’s why I bring a trauma-informed approach to our sessions and integrate elements from various therapeutic modalities like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Somatic Experiencing. These tools help ensure that our work together is holistic and attuned to your unique experiences.

Above all, my goal is to make our sessions a space where you can explore, grow, and move closer to the life you envision for yourself.

Tova Wacholder's experience working with the Jewish community

As a proud Bais Yaakov graduate, my life and work are deeply rooted in Torah values. Growing up within the Jewish community has given me a strong foundation of faith, tradition, and a deep sense of responsibility to support others on their journey. I understand the unique challenges and joys that come with living a life guided by these values, and I strive to integrate them into my practice.

Working within the Jewish community has been a profound and fulfilling part of my career. I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals and families navigate their personal and relational challenges while staying true to the principles that matter most to them. Whether it’s supporting someone through a difficult time or helping them reach new heights in their personal growth, I approach my work with the same dedication and commitment that I bring to my own life.

My goal is to create a space where Jewish values and personal well-being can coexist harmoniously, allowing my clients to thrive in all aspects of their lives.
