From a young age, I have been driven by a deep desire to alleviate suffering and promote happiness in the world. I believe that each of us has a responsibility to contribute to the betterment of society, and I am personally committed to fulfilling this obligation through my work in the helping profession.
As someone who is highly empathic, I have always been attuned to the emotions of those around me. I have seen firsthand the toll that pain and disconnection can take on individuals and communities, and I am dedicated to doing my part to alleviate these struggles.
For me, this work is not just a job - it is a calling. I have been privileged to witness the profound transformations that can occur when individuals are able to connect with their true selves and find a sense of inner peace. This is the ultimate goal of my work: to help others experience the same sense of groundedness, safety, love, and fulfillment that I believe every person deserves.
In short, my motivation for working in the helping profession can be summed up in the Jewish concept of Tikun Atzmenu, Tikun Olam - healing ourselves in order to heal the world. I am committed to helping others discover their own paths to healing, connection, and joy, and I feel privileged to be able to make a positive difference in the world through my work.
Ashley Perl's approach
As a trauma-informed IFS somatic coach and breathwork facilitator, my approach to coaching is rooted in a deep understanding of the mind-body connection. Through a range of body-centered modalities, I work with my clients to support them in achieving their goals in a sustainable and transformative way.
Somatic work is based on the principle that the body holds profound wisdom and can be a powerful tool for unlocking deeper levels of healing and personal growth. By combining this approach with the incredible knowledge of the mind, I help my clients come back to a true, authentic version of themselves.
My role as a coach is to guide my clients in uncovering blocks, limiting beliefs, and parts of themselves that are getting in the way of their goals. Through internal family systems work, energetic healing, and inner child healing, we work together to resolve these blocks and create space for growth and transformation.
I also recognize that the nervous system plays a crucial role in the healing process. In order for true healing to occur, the body must be in a state of thriving rather than just surviving. That's why I place a strong emphasis on nervous system regulation, supporting my clients in finding the tools and techniques that work best for them to create a sense of safety and ease in their bodies.
My approach is collaborative and supportive, rooted in a deep belief in my client's ability to achieve their goals. Through somatic coaching and breathwork, I empower my clients to take control of their lives and live with greater joy, ease, and fulfillment.
What you can expect from sessions with Ashley Perl
My sessions are designed to be a safe, supportive space for my clients to explore their inner worlds, resolve blocks, and experience transformative healing that will support them in achieving their long-term goals.
Each session is tailored to the unique needs and goals of the individual client, and while the content of each session may vary, the general flow usually follows a similar structure. We begin by grounding ourselves using breathwork, meditation, or other modalities that the client prefers. From there, we establish a clear intention for the session and identify the specific outcome we are working towards.
As we delve deeper into the session, I encourage my clients to get curious about any emotions, sensations, or thoughts that arise. By exploring these internal experiences, we can begin to unravel the root causes of any blocks or limitations that may be standing in the way of their desired outcome.
Throughout the session, I act as a supportive guide, helping my clients to connect with their inner wisdom and harness the power of their own innate healing abilities. By the end of the session, my clients can expect to have gained deeper insight into themselves, resolved some of the blocks that were holding them back, and experienced a sense of healing and transformation that will support them on their journey toward long-term growth and well-being.
My goal is to help my clients cultivate a greater sense of inner peace, resilience, and empowerment so that they can show up as their best selves and live their most fulfilling lives.
Ashley Perl's experience working with the Jewish community
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds and communities. However, as a granddaughter of four Holocaust survivors, I have always felt a deep connection to the Jewish community and a personal mission to help heal intergenerational trauma within this community.
Over the years, I have seen firsthand the incredible impact of somatic work in supporting Jewish individuals and families in processing their trauma, reconnecting with their bodies, and finding greater levels of healing and resilience. I am constantly inspired by the courage and strength of my Jewish clients and am honored to be able to support them on their healing journeys.
In addition to my work with individual clients, I am also an active member of several Jewish groups, both in-person and virtually. I am deeply committed to educating and sharing healing modalities within the Jewish community, and I see this as an important part of my mission to help create a world where all individuals feel safe, seen, and supported.
I feel incredibly grateful to be able to work with the Jewish community and to contribute to the important work of healing and resilience-building in this community.
