Ari Perl's style
💙 Warm 🌎 HolisticWhy Ari Perl chose to be in the helping profession
Before I chose this profession, this profession chose me. People find me to be deeply empathic and perceptive.
Enamored with the art and science of therapy, I love creating a space, together with my clients, towards their self-discovery and personal growth- that gets results. The therapeutic process is so powerful because of the innate qualities of each and every one of us.
Ari Perl's approach
My approach to therapy is grounded in a humanistic, holistic, and non-pathologizing perspective. That means there are beautiful and powerful innate qualities of each and every one of us. Often my clients develop a better understanding of their inner parts, work through the feelings and barriers which enables them to access hope and to achieve acceptance and change.
In our work together, I aim to fully understand you and your struggles and offer a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of being negatively judged or labeled.
I believe in your inherent neuroplasticity and adaptability, which means that healing from trauma, rediscovering your self, adapting, change and growth are always possible. Whether you are dealing with a specific issue or a broader sense of dissatisfaction, I work with you to identify the underlying factors that may be holding you back and to develop a plan for achieving greater self-awareness and personal fulfillment.
One key aspect of my approach is to acknowledge the role that relationships can play in both causing and healing emotional pain. While I recognize that interpersonal dynamics can be challenging and complex, I also believe that with the right support and guidance, relationships can be a source of tremendous healing, growth, and strength. Together, we can work towards fostering deeper connections with ourselves and others, and ultimately, creating a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
What you can expect from sessions with Ari Perl
You can feel comforted and empowered, by being fully welcomed, you and all of your thoughts and feelings, so that we can work together effectively in a comfortable, supportive environment.
With adult clients, I prioritize active listening and open-ended questioning as a means of understanding their unique experiences and goals. I integrate various therapeutic techniques that encourage reflection, self-exploration, understanding and compassion.
With couples, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy which provides us with a map and helpful way of understanding conflict and distancing, together with ways to resolve the conflict, connect and deepen your bond.
For families and younger clients, I often incorporate playfulness and spontaneity into our sessions, using activities like playing catch or drawing to help facilitate communication and engagement.
At the beginning of each session, you will set the agenda that reflects your priorities and goals for the session.
Ultimately, you can feel seen, heard, cared for, and understood as you navigate your personal journey towards healing, health, connection, growth and fulfillment.
Ari Perl's experience working with the Jewish community
Throughout my professional career, I have had the privilege of working with the Jewish community in a variety of settings, including clinical, inpatient, and educational contexts. I have had the opportunity to work with clients from a wide range of affiliations, from those who identify as secular or modern, to those who are deeply religious and observant.
My experience working with the Jewish community has been incredibly rewarding and has allowed me to gain a deep appreciation for the unique cultural, spiritual, and historical aspects of Jewish identity. Whether I am providing individual therapy or working with groups, I strive to approach each client with sensitivity and respect for their specific background and experiences.
Through my work with the Jewish community, I understand the challenges and opportunities that can arise when navigating issues related to Jewish identity, family dynamics, and community relationships. I am committed to helping my clients explore these issues in a safe and supportive space, and to empowering them to make meaningful progress towards their personal goals and aspirations.
