From a young age, I felt drawn to the helping profession, and as I grew older, my passion for becoming a psychologist only intensified. Through my rigorous training and extensive clinical experience, my commitment to this field has deepened, and I feel blessed and privileged to be able to apply evidence-based treatments to help my clients navigate their struggles.
For me, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing my clients achieve their goals through the therapeutic process. It takes immense courage, vulnerability, and energy to embark on this journey, and I deeply admire each and every one of my clients who choose to commit themselves to it.
As a therapist, I strive to create an environment that is both empathic and hopeful. My gentle and warm persona is coupled with a deep passion for helping my clients overcome their challenges and reach their full potential. It is my honor to be a part of this process, and I am committed to continuing my growth and development as a therapist to better serve my clients.
Sarah Green's approach
My approach to therapy is grounded in collaboration and a focus on achieving tangible, meaningful goals. I believe in taking the time to fully understand what brings each of my clients to therapy and what they hope to achieve, so that we can work together to create a personalized treatment plan that is tailored to their unique needs.
I draw from a range of evidence-based treatments, including CBT, DBT, and third-wave treatments like ACT. I am particularly passionate about utilizing mindfulness-based interventions as a foundation for change, as I believe that cultivating awareness of the present moment is key to creating meaningful shifts in our lives.
As a trained comprehensive DBT therapist, I am equipped to provide a more intensive treatment approach for clients who struggle with intense emotions. This includes individual therapy, group skills training, and phone coaching to help clients generalize their skills and integrate them into their everyday lives.
The therapeutic relationship is of the utmost importance to me, as I believe that a strong and trusting bond between therapist and client is essential for successful therapy outcomes. I am dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can feel heard, validated, and empowered to make the changes they seek. Ultimately, my goal is to help my clients achieve their desired outcomes and live more fulfilling lives.
What you can expect from sessions with Sarah Green
In our sessions, you can expect to receive clear and comprehensive guidance on what to expect from the therapy process. Our first session will be a longer intake session, during which we will discuss your goals and assess how best to proceed with treatment. From there, we will transition to regularly scheduled individual sessions, where we will work collaboratively to achieve your desired outcomes.
Throughout the therapy process, I will be actively seeking your input and feedback, as I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a collaborative one. I am committed to creating a safe and supportive space where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts, feelings, and concerns, and where we can work together to create meaningful change in your life.
To help us track progress and identify areas of growth, I utilize an online program that provides visual representations of your progress. This allows us to see how far you've come, as well as identify areas where you may want to continue your work.
Overall, my approach to therapy is client-centered and tailored to your individual needs. My goal is to empower you to achieve your desired outcomes and create a more fulfilling life.
Sarah Green's experience working with the Jewish community
As a mental health professional, I am deeply committed to providing evidence-based treatments to the frum community. Currently, I am working at The CBT/DBT Center, where I have the privilege of offering individual, group, and family therapy services. One of the things that I find particularly rewarding about working with the Jewish community is being able to utilize my strengths and training to disseminate much-needed resources and provide high-quality care.
In addition to my clinical work, I also serve as the director of clinical training at the center. This is an area that I am particularly passionate about, as I believe that improving the quality of training among frum mental health professionals is essential to ensuring that the community receives the best possible care. I also develop and facilitate courses that provide psycho-educational content for the community at large.
Prior to my work at The CBT/DBT Center, I was employed at Achieve Behavioral Health in Monsey, NY. This was a behavioral health center that was deeply committed to serving the Jewish community. During my time there, I had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including Jewish day schools, an intensive outpatient program for adult women, and the general clinic. In each of these settings, I provided individual and group therapy, DBT coaching, and collaborated with schools and other providers to ensure that my clients received the best possible care.
At the core of my practice is a commitment to investing in the growth of my clients. I strive to offer treatments and resources that are tailored to their unique needs and that lead to the outcomes that they are looking to achieve. Whether it is through individual therapy, group therapy, or psycho-educational courses, my goal is to provide the support and guidance that my clients need to lead fulfilling lives.
