Why Eva Lana Minkoff, Life Coach chose to be in the helping profession

I know what it’s like to feel responsible for everyone, to show up again and again, and still wonder if you’re doing enough. That feeling shaped me long before I ever entered this field. I’ve seen healthcare from every angle: as a patient navigating chronic illness for over 20 years, as the wife of a physician moving through demanding training systems, and as a clinical research manager, communications strategist, and advocate trying to make those systems more humane. Carrying all of those perspectives has taught me how heavy the load can be when you’re the one people count on.

Those experiences also showed me how quickly purpose can turn into pressure, and how easily clarity slips away when you’re always in motion. Whether it’s impostor syndrome, capacity overload, or constant change, even the most capable professionals can lose their footing without realizing it. I understand what it feels like to keep pushing because you care, even while wondering if the ground underneath you is shifting. That recognition is what moved me toward this work and continues to guide the way I support others.

I chose this path to help people who give everything to others rebuild steady ground for themselves. My goal is to help you create a foundation for confidence, conviction, and calm that feels strong and adaptable, not brittle or performative. Over time, I’ve coached physicians, innovators, and caregivers through high-stakes decisions and major transitions, and I’ve seen what becomes possible when clarity is restored. Watching people reclaim their strength without losing their passion is still the most meaningful work I know.

Eva Lana Minkoff, Life Coach's approach

I call this work “Excavating and Elevating” because that’s exactly what it feels like when someone finally uncovers the parts of themselves they’ve been carrying all along. I don’t see anyone as broken or in need of fixing, and I genuinely mean that. I often tell my clients they’re like Michelangelo’s David, already whole, strong, and beautiful, just covered by layers of dirt that have built up over years of stress, self-doubt, and over-responsibility. Once you realize that nothing about you is missing, the work starts to take on an entirely different tone.

What we do together isn’t about digging endlessly or getting lost in the past. It’s about giving you the shovel, a practical and compassionate way to carefully uncover the clarity, confidence, and conviction that have always been inside you. As we make space around the parts of yourself you may have forgotten or pushed aside, we begin to elevate them. You start to see how your innate strength can translate into steadier leadership, clearer decisions, and renewed energy for the things that matter most.

By the time we’re done, the shift isn’t just something you feel internally. You stand a little taller. You move through your life with the kind of grounded capability that doesn’t waver every time the world throws something new at you. And yes, I really do keep a tiny David half-buried in a bucket of dirt on my desk. It’s a simple reminder that the work isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about revealing what’s already there, waiting to be uncovered.

What you can expect from sessions with Eva Lana Minkoff, Life Coach

Each session gives you a real moment to pause, recalibrate, and move forward with intention instead of urgency. Most people don’t realize how rarely they get that kind of space, especially when they’re the ones everyone else relies on. In our work together, those pauses become a place where you can hear yourself again. They become the starting point for choices that feel clearer and more aligned with who you are.

In the beginning, we pick up the “shovel” and gently uncover the layers of habit, pressure, and doubt that have built up over time. You’ll start to see what’s been sitting between you and your focus, confidence, and calm, often in ways you didn’t notice while you were moving so quickly. As what’s been buried becomes easier to see, it also becomes easier to shift. That clarity alone can feel like a breath you didn’t realize you were holding.

From there, we begin to elevate what we find. We take your natural strengths and translate them into steady, sustainable strategies for leadership, communication, and decision-making. You won’t just leave sessions with insight. You’ll leave with direction, renewed energy, and a tangible sense of capability that you can feel in your body, not just understand in your mind.

Over time, these shifts stack. You’ll notice fewer automatic reactions and more moments where you catch yourself choosing differently. You’ll experience clearer and quicker decision-making, greater ease in how you lead and live, and a steadiness that holds even when everything around you keeps moving. And as that steadiness grows, so does your ability to show up the way you’ve always wanted to — grounded, capable, and fully yourself.

Eva Lana Minkoff, Life Coach's experience working with the Jewish community

I’ve had the privilege of coaching Jewish professionals and families across the spectrum, from ultra Orthodox to secular and Israeli communities. It has given me a front-row seat to the many ways our community shows up for one another, even when the load feels heavy. We may observe differently, but at our core we share a deep drive to contribute, to care, and to keep going when life asks more of us than feels possible. That shared commitment is something I hold with a lot of respect and tenderness.

Many people come to me when the commitments they care most about — work, family, and faith — begin to compete instead of connect. They’re doing everything they believe they’re supposed to do, yet still feel stretched thin or uncertain about how to move forward. Together, we explore what’s been pulling them in different directions and create strategies that honor their values without sacrificing their well-being. The goal is not to choose one part of life over another, but to find a steadier rhythm that lets all of those pieces support each other.

For me, this work is deeply personal. It’s about helping people in our community feel strong, steady, and proud of who they are in every part of their lives. When someone begins to lead with more clarity, show up at home with more presence, or reconnect with their faith from a place of calm instead of pressure, it creates a shift that touches everything around them. That is the kind of transformation I’m committed to supporting, one conversation at a time.

What people have to say about working with me:

  • Working with Eva as my coach has been truly transformative. Initially, I was concerned about finding the right coach I could connect with, as there are many out there who promise much but deliver little. Since completing my coaching sessions with Eva, I feel she has not only provided me additional tools for growth about myself but has given me an "edge" related to perseverance and resilience in my professional endeavors. What sets Eva apart is her challenging approach, which caught me off guard in a positive way. Strangely, I felt like I was on a runway to possibilities I thought did not exist, despite my career successes. She provided me additional tools to be a force multiplier as a leader. Eva is authentic, innovative, inquisitive and easy to relate to, making it very comfortable to be vulnerable, grow, identify blind spots that may be holding you back, and exit your comfort zone. Unlike other coaches, Eva genuinely cares about you, not an agenda. If you are looking to take your personal or professional growth to the next level, I would highly recommend her. She has the unique ability to extract ideologies out of you that you never once thought possible, all for the better.

  • Having the consistent time and space to engage fully has been invaluable. Since coaching, I’ve created more quiet space for myself to process work relationships, events, and initiatives with greater reflection and future intention. I especially valued the open, reflective discussions—processing the intersection of responsibilities, self-reliance, and barriers to joy. Eva is insightful, authentic, compassionate, skilled, highly available, bold, and personal. She provides a good space to practice, plan, discuss, implement, and evaluate. I would absolutely recommend coaching with her.

  • I’m in a time of transition and have created new goals for myself—taking on endeavors I’ve never done before. I worked on them for quite a while on my own, but I knew I wasn’t having the impact I hoped for. Enter Eva Minkoff. From our very first “get to know each other” chat, it was obvious that Eva has incredible insight and a clear intention to help and guide. So I decided to engage with her as my coach—and I’m so glad and grateful I did. Eva has an amazing, almost uncanny ability to zero in on self-imposed blocks. She speaks directly, but with a soothing clarity that helps you face what’s hard—without fear. Her skillful questions consistently lead me to powerful awarenesses that I now get to address. She doesn’t push or instruct. She helps me uncover the best of my superpowers. Her questions may seem simple at first—but if you really pause and take them in, they carry so much weight. The impact has been profound. You’re never too old to change or to reach out for help. I’m 70 years old and engaging in life with as much (if not more) gusto than ever. Eva is a huge reason why things are moving in a great direction for me now—and I know they will continue to. I highly recommend this skillful, intelligent, and compassionate woman for coaching—without reservation.
