Why I chose to be in the helping profession
Jewish Therapist in Lawrence, NY
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade experience working with clients from all walks of life. I am trained in a number of modalities which I weave together to create a safe place where patients can feel connected to me, and most importantly to themselves. I believe that each client has tremendous internal resources and each person is a world of sensation, feeling, and depth. I work with people to help them use their own inner strengths to heal the various forms which trauma takes. Anxiety, depression, eating disorders, are all important communications from out nervous system and psyche and my job is to help clients decode these messages and heal the places that have been wounded. Through this process not only do symptoms slowly disappear but there is also a sense of increasing clarity and personal growth that is invaluable and a joy to share.
I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults with Eating Disorders , Post Traumatic Stress Disorders, Anxiety, and relational issues.
I am trained in Psychodynamic Psychothetapy, Somatic Intervention (SI) Somatic Experiencing (SE) , Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychoterapy (AEDP) and Family Based Therapy (FBT) for ED.r
My style is warm and personable and I am looking forward to getting to knowing you.
