💙 Warm 💡 Solution-oriented 🥇 Empowering 🧘 CalmWhy Kayla Greenberger chose to be in the helping profession
From a very young age, I found myself being the girl my classmates turned to when they needed someone to “vent to.” It’s not something I’ve ever taken for granted; in fact, I value vulnerability immensely. Being that I was used to this dynamic from such an early age, I realized how much I loved listening and helping others. That’s when I decided that one day, I would turn this natural inclination into my career.
What truly deepened my passion for helping others, especially in grief coaching, was a personal experience: the passing of my father. Experiencing real loss gave me an entirely new perspective on the importance of support during such difficult times. I went through the five stages of grief and, along the way, learned so much about myself. It was an incredibly challenging journey, but one that also brought immense growth and understanding.
Grief can feel isolating, but a safe space where you can process everything without judgment makes all the difference. It’s an honor for me to hold that space for others, offering empathy, understanding, and the kind of support that comes from both personal experience and a deep desire to help.
Kayla Greenberger's approach
As a coach, the approach I like to take centers around motivational interviewing. I believe in creating a space where the client can speak to their heart's content, expressing whatever is on their mind without interruption. Only after they’ve fully shared their thoughts do I step in to ask questions relevant to the situation they’ve presented. These questions aren’t just about finding answers—they’re designed to spark their own curiosity and interest in exploring their concerns more deeply.
What I’ve found time and again is that most clients already hold the answers they’re searching for within themselves. My role is not to give them those answers but to assist in uncovering and piecing them together. By guiding them through the process of self-discovery, I help them see their concerns from new angles and connect with their inner wisdom. It’s a collaborative journey, one that’s empowering and rooted in the belief that they are capable of navigating their challenges with clarity and confidence.
What you can expect from sessions with Kayla Greenberger
Each session typically lasts 50 minutes and is entirely focused on you, the client. My primary goal is to create a space where you feel completely comfortable, safe, and free to share whatever is on your mind. This time is yours, and it’s all about addressing your concerns and goals in a way that feels supportive and empowering.
Unlike a traditional therapy approach that often delves deeply into the past, my coaching style is forward-focused. Together, we concentrate on your day-to-day experiences and your aspirations for the future. Our sessions are highly goal-oriented, designed to help you gain clarity, build confidence in your decisions, and reconnect with a sense of autonomy.
By the end of each session, my aim is for you to leave with actionable steps and a renewed sense of control over your life. Coaching is about growth and forward momentum, and I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way.
Kayla Greenberger's experience working with the Jewish community
From childhood to adulthood, I’ve always been surrounded by my Jewish friends, often finding myself as the person they turned to when they needed to vent, share, or cry about the pressing matters in their lives. It was a role I naturally stepped into, and it has remained a constant in my life. Whether it’s a quick conversation or a deeper discussion, I’m always honored to be a trusted voice for those around me. This is truly my happy place—helping others navigate their challenges and finding clarity in difficult moments.
I love being able to shed light and offer wisdom in areas where I’ve been personally tested and in areas where I’ve worked hard to develop and refine my skills. To deepen my understanding and enhance my ability to support others, I’ve also taken classes in Torah Psychology, a Jewish Torah-based approach to coaching. This has been an invaluable resource, aligning my work with the values and wisdom of our tradition.
It’s a privilege to combine my passion for helping others with my commitment to the Jewish community, and I’m grateful to be able to serve in this way.
