Batya Srolovitz, LCSW's style
💙 Warm 🥇 Empowering 💠Open minded 🙏 SpiritualWhy Batya Srolovitz, LCSW chose to be in the helping profession
I am passionate about, and deeply inspired by, accompanying individuals and couples as they navigate life’s many twists and turns. I feel genuinely privileged to witness people’s growth, insight, and vulnerable moments of expansion as they wrestle with complex questions and step into uncharted terrain. Again and again, I am moved by the courage it takes to slow down, look inward, and engage honestly with what is unfolding. Holding space for that process is something I take seriously and approach with care and respect.
I chose this profession because I believe meaningful change is possible when people feel supported, understood, and challenged in thoughtful ways. My work is rooted in helping others move toward lives and relationships that feel authentic, exciting, and peaceful, rather than simply manageable. I strive to create a space where curiosity can replace self-judgment and where clarity can emerge over time. Walking alongside clients as they build deeper connection with themselves and with others is at the heart of why I do this work.
Batya Srolovitz, LCSW's approach
I work with individuals and couples to deepen their understanding of themselves so they can create the lives and relationships they truly crave. Together, we explore the depths of mind and emotion, making space to slow down and understand what has shaped them and where they hope to go. Through a psychodynamic lens, I help clients connect their past and present experiences with their goals for the future. This process often brings greater clarity, self-compassion, and a stronger sense of direction.
Utilizing logotherapy, I accompany clients as they work toward autonomy, resilience, and meaning within the situations and circumstances life has handed them. I am especially attuned to the ways people make sense of their struggles and how meaning can emerge even in challenging moments. As a certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, I support clients in learning to hear and trust their body’s wisdom, examine how their beliefs are influencing their choices, and gently rebuild their relationship with food and their body. My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in respect for each client’s lived experience.
What you can expect from sessions with Batya Srolovitz, LCSW
Whether it’s your relationship with your partner, your relationship with your body, or your relationship with yourself, our work together is meant to help you find insight, growth, and empowerment. I aim to create a space where you can slow down, get curious, and begin to see patterns with fresh clarity. My goal is not simply to solve problems, but to support you in building a deeper sense of self and stronger, more fulfilling connections. Over time, many clients find that this process brings a renewed sense of confidence and direction.
I work with couples at all stages—whether you are engaged, married, or facing challenges later in your relationship. I also support couples who are considering or experiencing separation or divorce, helping them navigate these transitions with honesty and care. Together, we examine both individual experiences and the relationship as a whole, exploring challenges and strengths in equal measure. Through this work, we uncover hidden potential and create dynamics that support intimacy, authenticity, and sustainability.
Using my background as an artist, I often incorporate visualization and creativity into our sessions. I encourage imagination, abstract thinking, and self-expression as a way to access deeper insight and shift perspectives. This approach can help you tap into parts of yourself that may not come forward through words alone, and it can make the process feel more alive and personal.
Batya Srolovitz, LCSW's experience working with the Jewish community
I have been working within the Jewish community for almost a decade, serving in various institutions and organizations, and now in private practice. Over the years, I have supported clients from every demographic, background, and level of observance, and I deeply understand the unique questions and challenges that can arise when faith and personal growth intersect. I also appreciate the many strengths and gifts that come from living within a rich spiritual tradition, and I aim to honor those values in our work together.
My approach is rooted in respect for each person’s individual journey, and I strive to create a space where clients can explore how Judaism and spirituality shape their identity, relationships, and sense of meaning. Whether you are seeking clarity around life transitions, relationship dynamics, or deeper self-understanding, I am here to walk alongside you with compassion and insight.

What people have to say about working with me:
-
I have known Batya since 2004. She was a client of mine then, and we have stayed in contact ever since. In recent years, she meets with me for supervision when she has clients with eating disorders. She is a brilliant therapist, has done extensive work in many modalities and is a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. She’s extremely dedicated in her work, as well as in her personal life. She’s reliable, gracious, and highly intelligent. She often asks me for feedback and receives my input with curiosity and humility. She is open and eager to learn and enrich her counseling. I highly recommend her.
