Why Rikki Ash chose to be in the helping profession

I've dedicated a significant portion of my life to high school education, a journey that has always filled me with immense joy as I watched the potential of my students come to fruition. Over time, it became clear to me that my desire to mentor extended beyond the confines of high school.

I expanded my role as a mentor by becoming a bridal educator (Kallah teacher), allowing me to continue guiding and supporting many of my former students. Yet, an unquenchable urge within me urged me to do more, to make a broader impact. This desire ultimately led me to coaching, where I could assist adolescents and adult women on their life journeys, helping them navigate the inevitable ups and downs they would encounter.

My driving passion is to assist people in leading lives filled with profound meaning and purpose.

A pivotal moment in my journey occurred when my grandfather received a devastating diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. I approached him with a request to interview him about his life, to preserve his legacy, and share his wisdom with the world. He had devoted over five decades to serving as a community Rabbi, deeply understanding the profound human longing for meaning, as poignantly articulated by Viktor Frankl. Little did I know that, as I explored his life and the meaning he had found, I would embark on my own profound odyssey of discovery.

In a world increasingly fixated on efficiency and productivity, it's imperative to recognize that each individual possesses an innate desire to live a life filled with purpose and meaning. My mission is to cast a spotlight on the authentic essence of human existence: the pursuit of a meaningful life. Meaning isn't something to be artificially manufactured; it already resides within us. We discover it as we fulfill our unique life tasks, drawing from the wellspring of meaning that already exists.

As a doctoral candidate in the field of education, my passion for unlocking human potential fuels my unwavering commitment to assisting others in embracing purpose in their lives. My approach to coaching is deeply influenced by the profound insights of Viktor Frankl, and I find myself drawn to his concept of "Logoanalysis." This framework serves as a guiding light in my coaching practice, aimed at alleviating the pervasive feelings of emptiness and "not enoughness" that many individuals grapple with. My journey of engagement with the Jewish community has been an integral part of my professional life. It has spanned a significant portion of my career and academic pursuits.

In the realm of high school girls' education, I have dedicated almost a decade to imparting knowledge, values, and guidance to the younger generation within the Jewish community.

Over the past four years, I've extended my involvement by becoming a bridal educator, where I've played a significant role in preparing young Jewish women for one of life's most important milestones—their weddings.

Currently, I am in the process of pursuing my doctorate in Jewish educational leadership. This academic endeavor is a testament to my commitment to advancing my expertise and contributing even more meaningfully to the Jewish community.

As a life coach, I have the privilege of working with adult women, both within the Jewish community and beyond. This role enables me to offer guidance, support, and empowerment as individuals navigate their life journeys.

My rich and diverse experiences within the Jewish community have deepened my understanding of its unique needs and values. I am dedicated to continuing to serve and contribute to the community through my educational pursuits and life coaching endeavors.
