About Recovery at the Crossroads

At Recovery at the Crossroads, we are dedicated to transforming lives through compassionate, individualized addiction treatment. Located in Blackwood, New Jersey, our center is rooted in the belief that recovery is a deeply personal journey that requires dignity, respect, and unwavering support. We provide a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can confront their struggles honestly, begin healing, and rebuild their lives. Every person who comes through our doors is treated as an individual, not defined by their addiction or reduced to a diagnosis.

We take pride in being a trusted resource for the Jewish community, offering culturally sensitive care that respects each client’s religious and cultural values. Our approach integrates traditional therapeutic methods with an understanding of the role that faith, family, and community may play in recovery. We believe in addressing the whole person, including the mind, body, and spirit, rather than focusing only on the addiction itself. Our goal is to empower every client to achieve lasting recovery, restore meaningful relationships, and move forward with a renewed sense of purpose.

Programs and services offered at Recovery at the Crossroads

Recovery at the Crossroads offers a comprehensive range of programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients at every stage of recovery. Our Residential Rehab provides a structured, supportive environment for individuals who need intensive and immersive care to overcome addiction. Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) offers daily treatment that combines therapy, education, and ongoing support for those transitioning from residential care or seeking an alternative to inpatient treatment. For individuals balancing recovery with personal, family, or professional responsibilities, our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides flexible therapy sessions while still offering a meaningful level of structure and accountability.

Our General Outpatient Program (GOP) is ideal for individuals with established sobriety who need ongoing support, guidance, and maintenance as they continue moving forward. We also provide Dual Diagnosis Treatment for those struggling with both addiction and mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or PTSD. Our multidisciplinary team uses evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and trauma-informed care. Through individualized treatment planning, consistent support, and practical tools, we help clients better understand themselves, strengthen their coping skills, and reclaim their lives.

Jewish Community Experience

At Recovery at the Crossroads, we understand the unique challenges members of the Jewish community may face when seeking help for addiction. For years, misconceptions, shame, and stigma surrounding addiction have created barriers that can make it difficult for individuals and families to speak openly or reach out for support. We are committed to breaking down those barriers by providing an environment that is free from judgment and grounded in dignity, compassion, and understanding. Clients can begin their recovery journey knowing that their culture, values, and level of religious observance will be respected.

Our Kosher Recovery Services are thoughtfully designed to help Jewish clients feel comfortable and supported throughout treatment. We provide gourmet kosher meals prepared by our in-house chef, Shabbos and Yom Tov observance, and access to in-house rabbinical support. Family involvement is emphasized because we understand that addiction often affects the entire family, and healing can be strengthened when loved ones are appropriately included in the process. By blending faith, tradition, and proven therapeutic practices, we help clients build meaningful, healthy, and addiction-free lives.

Our holistic approach recognizes that lasting recovery requires more than simply stopping the use of substances. Addiction can affect a person emotionally, physically, mentally, spiritually, and within their closest relationships. For this reason, we incorporate mindfulness, movement, and creative therapies alongside evidence-based clinical treatment. These services give clients additional ways to process their experiences, reconnect with themselves, and develop healthier strategies for managing stress and difficult emotions.

Trauma-informed care is also central to our work because many individuals struggling with addiction have experienced painful or overwhelming events in their lives. We create a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore those experiences at a pace that feels manageable, without being judged or pressured. Our team also places a strong emphasis on family involvement, spiritual well-being, and the development of practical tools that can support clients long after treatment ends. By caring for the whole person and respecting each client’s individual path, we help create a stronger foundation for lasting recovery and renewed purpose.

  • I was admitted to the Turnsville location. I spent 8 months there, in out paient. Not by force. I stayed because it was actually working for me, and I didn't really want to leave. I had fear that if I left too soon I would relapse. They worked with me all the way through my 8 month stay. My therapist was Samanths W. Her and I clicked. She helped me through so much during my time there. Sad to hear that she has since found another job 😒 IF it wasn't for crossroads I have no idea where I would be today. This place really saved me as a person, and made me gain back my sobriety. This place helps with your mental health as well. Their is a nurse on site during the week that can get you on the right medications if need be. They also feed you lunch everyday mon-friday. This place also accepts Medicare, a Medicad. They have day sessions 9am to 12pm and night sessions 6pm to 9m If you are someone you know is struggling with a drug/alcohol problem or even mental health. I urge you to pick this location. This is one of the best places you can find in South Jersey. I rate this place a 5 out of 5 starts because it truly is a great place. I myself have been to a couple IOP locations and this one is the top of my list. Please take my word for it, and visit Recovery at the Crossroads today
