💙 Warm 😃 Humorous 💪 Challenging 🙌 AffirmingWhy Mark Levine, LICDC-CS, chose to be in the helping profession
Being in the helping profession has been my calling from the start. While some folks find excitement in skydiving, my thrill comes from supporting individuals as they navigate tough situations, helping them unlock their full potential.
There's a unique joy in witnessing someone undergo a personal transformation, a joy I've experienced firsthand on my own journey of change. It's this power of transformation that keeps me dedicated to guiding others toward their best selves.
Mark Levine, LICDC-CS,'s approach
As a holistic counselor and coach, I embrace a comprehensive perspective that acknowledges the intricate connection between various aspects of our lives—sleep, diet, exercise, and more—all influencing our minds and shaping our perceptions of the world.
Grounded in nonjudgmental compassion, mindfulness, and a good sense of humor, my approach is centered on your goals exclusively. It's not about my agenda or anyone else's; it's about understanding and empowering you on your unique journey.
What you can expect from sessions with Mark Levine, LICDC-CS,
In the words of my clients, you can expect sessions filled with compassion, knowledge, and a touch of humor. I operate under the belief that every behavior, no matter how perplexing, holds a rationale when viewed from the perspective of the person engaged in it.
Together, we'll unravel the underlying basis of the behavior you aim to change, transitioning from a realm of shame to one characterized by confidence and self-actualization. My conversational style is approachable and gentle, fostering an environment where you'll feel at ease. While I won't shy away from challenging you when necessary, it will always be in a way that leaves you grateful, not defensive.
Mark Levine, LICDC-CS,'s experience working with the Jewish community
While the majority of my clients don't belong to the Jewish community—simply a statistical occurrence—I hold a special fascination for incorporating the wisdom of Judaism into my sessions. The concept of teshuvah, for instance, is one facet I find particularly enriching.
Looking ahead, I'm excited to deepen my connection by attending a Jewish leadership camp in 2024. Moreover, I'm actively pursuing the opportunity to become a Rabbinic Pastor, aiming to strengthen the intersection of psychotherapy and Jewish wisdom. This journey reflects my commitment to fostering a harmonious blend of psychological support and the profound insights offered by Jewish tradition.
