Why Gabrielle Eichler-Len, RMHCI chose to be in the helping profession

I chose to be in the helping profession because I know firsthand the profound impact of connecting with a therapist. During my teenage years, I struggled significantly with my mental health. For a long time, I was stubborn, thinking of myself as too self-sufficient to need outside help. But when I eventually realized and accepted that I couldn’t do it alone, my life transformed dramatically for the better.

Reflecting on my journey, I see the immense good that can come from simply listening to and supporting those in need. I think about the kind of help I need and continue to need in my own struggles, and it drives me to offer the same support to others. My personal experiences, coupled with my knowledge and compassion, fuel my hope that I can make a positive difference in someone's life.

Being in the helping profession isn't just a career for me—it's a calling rooted in my own story. Every day, I am reminded of the power of empathy and the importance of mental health care. I am dedicated to being the support system for others that I once needed, and I am passionate about making a lasting, positive impact in the lives of those I help.

Gabrielle Eichler-Len, RMHCI's approach

My approach to therapy is primarily rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a proven method for reframing negative mindsets and fostering positive behaviors and healthier thought processes. Together, we'll develop practical strategies to manage your emotions, build resilience, and achieve your personal goals.

In addition to CBT, I also frequently incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) into my practice. ACT emphasizes the importance of committing to mindful actions and accepting difficult internal experiences, helping you to navigate life's challenges with greater flexibility. MBCT focuses on mindfulness techniques that aid in coping with and working through challenging thoughts and emotions, promoting a more balanced and centered state of mind.

By integrating these approaches, I aim to provide a comprehensive and personalized therapeutic experience, guiding you toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.

The most important element in successful therapy is the therapeutic relationship. Gabrielle Eichler-Len, RMHCI's experience working with the Jewish community

I was raised in a modern Orthodox Jewish community in Miami, which has deeply influenced both my personal and professional life. Having attended Jewish schools throughout my life, I have gained extensive experience and knowledge of the Jewish community, particularly within the Chabad Jewish community.

Before I became a Mental Health Counselor, I ran a “mobile music school” that was highly popular within the Miami Jewish community. This role allowed me to connect with many families and individuals, enriching my understanding of the community's unique needs and values. Additionally, I have worked in various educational settings, interacting with Modern Orthodox students as well as more traditional students.

These experiences have provided me with a profound appreciation for the diverse backgrounds and traditions within the Jewish community. They have also equipped me with the cultural sensitivity and awareness necessary to support and guide individuals from similar backgrounds in my counseling practice.
