I believe in the innate capacity for healing inherent within every human being. Sometimes this capacity is buried so deeply that it is hard for individuals to access it on their own. My aim is to provide a supportive environment where my clients can feel safe to explore their internal world and discover their own unique path towards healing and inner peace.
I have great respect for anyone brave enough to set out on this journey. I am awed daily by the level of authenticity and perseverance that I am honored to witness. It is a profound privilege and deeply humbling to accompany these silent heroes throughout this process. That is why I have dedicated myself to this calling, and why I remain deeply committed to this work.
Esti Glauser, LCSW's approach
I aim to provide a reflective space where my clients can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and uncover the wellsprings of strength and resilience that may have been obstructed.
In general my therapeutic approach is less directive and offers a lot of space for reflection and process. I view therapy through a psychodynamic lens, which means that our time together will be dedicated to exploring the deeper, often subconscious drives behind the challenges you're facing. I utilize an eclectic blend of modalities, incorporating somatic, Internal Family Systems, and existential frameworks, while also drawing upon foundational concepts from cognitive and behavioral approaches. This multifaceted perspective allows me to tailor sessions to the unique needs and experiences of the individual.
What you can expect from sessions with Esti Glauser, LCSW
In our sessions, you can expect my therapy room to be a sacred, judgment-free space where you are invited to share any thought, feeling, sensation, or urge that arises, without reservation. Depending on your individual needs and preferences, we will explore your experiences using a blend of talking-based and somatic focused methods. We will constantly check in to ensure that the pace of our work feels comfortable and right for you. The goal is to facilitate a deepening of self-acceptance, self-compassion, and inner peace.
Additionally, we will mindfully reflect on the relational dynamics that unfold between us in the "here and now" of our client-therapist interaction. This meta-awareness can provide invaluable insights, allowing you to gain a richer understanding of the workings of your own inner world.
Through this integrative approach, grounded in trust and mutual respect, I hope to serve as a compassionate guide on your journey of self-discovery and healing. Together, we'll navigate the nuances of your lived experience, empowering you to cultivate a more coherent, authentic connection with yourself. In doing so, you'll be better equipped to make conscious, empowered choices that are truly aligned with your deepest values and aspirations.
Esti Glauser, LCSW's experience working with the Jewish community
In the course of my professional work, I've had the privilege of supporting a wide range of clients from across the entire spectrum of the Jewish community. This has encompassed individuals who have never had a strong religious affiliation, those who were previously more observant but have since become unsure of their beliefs, as well as those who identify as deeply committed to an ultra-Orthodox way of life.
Navigating the nuances of religious and spiritual identity can be a complex and deeply personal journey, and I've found that approaching each client with openness, empathy and cultural humility is essential. Rather than making assumptions, I strive to create a safe environment where clients who desire can explore their unique relationship to Judaism, or lack thereof.
Whether a client is grappling with a crisis of faith, seeking to reconnect with long-dormant spiritual yearnings, or simply desiring a greater sense of inner peace and wholeness, I'm honored to walk alongside them. Through our collaborative exploration, I've witnessed firsthand the profound transformations that can occur when one is granted the freedom to candidly examine the role of meaning, purpose and religion within their personal landscape.
