Why Beverly DAmico chose to be in the helping profession

To be honest, the helping profession chose me! From a young age, I possessed a natural inclination to be a great listener and problem solver. Even in grade school, friends sought me out to discuss their problems, and I found myself drawn to offering a listening ear and helping them find solutions. Perhaps it was my own personal hardships that molded me into an empathetic and understanding individual, eager to support others.

As I embarked on my educational journey, I decided to pursue a career in nursing. However, I felt a strong pull towards specializing in women's health instead of following the conventional path. Nurturing others became my passion, especially women who often struggled with self-love and lacked the encouragement to prioritize their own well-being.

During my nursing career, while serving as a staff nurse in the Air Force, a recurring pattern caught my attention. Many of my patients exhibited unresolved grief stemming from childhood disappointments and unmet needs. It was remarkable to discover that these experiences had shaped their behavior and their ability to meet their own needs, often starting at a young age.

Additionally, I observed a profound connection between stress and physical ailments. Individuals who were unable to express or discuss their stressors, trauma, and abuse tended to develop various health conditions, particularly in areas of the body where stress is commonly held, such as the throat, shoulders, back, stomach, and head.

With these experiences shaping my path, I wholeheartedly accepted the calling to be in the helping profession. It became clear to me that this was my purpose. Equipped with both a scientific mind and a compassionate heart, I am genuinely grateful for the opportunity to serve and support others. Your well-being and personal growth are my top priorities, and I feel honored to utilize my unique gifts to walk alongside you as you navigate life's challenges.

Beverly DAmico's approach

In my practice, I prioritize the importance of mutual agreement between the client and the coach regarding the care plan. To ensure a good fit, I offer an initial free 15-minute assessment where both parties can evaluate if we are the right match for each other. It's essential to find the best fit, and not everyone who undergoes assessment is chosen as a client. I believe in honoring my clients by providing them with the most suitable interventions that align with their specific needs. If it becomes evident that the services I offer are not the right fit for the client's needs, I am more than willing to refer them to trusted peers who specialize in their desired goal.

Additionally, I strongly believe that clients should actively participate in shaping the direction of their emotional healing. After each session, I actively seek feedback from my clients to ensure they receive the utmost value from their investment of time and money. Their input is invaluable to me, as it guides my continuous improvement and allows me to refine my approach. Together, we create a collaborative journey that is effective, rewarding, and tailored to their unique needs.

Through collaborative conversations and practical strategies, I guide individuals in identifying their strengths, values, and aspirations, and support them in navigating challenges and maximizing their potential.

Coaching is a distinct approach to personal development and growth. It is not therapy, but rather a proactive and forward-looking process that helps individuals tap into their inner resources, challenge limiting beliefs, and cultivate a fulfilling and purposeful life. My role as a coach is to provide guidance, accountability, and support as clients work toward their goals and aspirations.

By engaging in coaching, clients can unlock their potential, explore new possibilities, and take action toward creating the life they desire. I am committed to providing a transformative coaching experience, tailored to the unique needs and aspirations of each individual I work with.

Beverly DAmico's experience working with the Jewish community

Having been deeply involved in the Jewish community for over four years through my association with Chabad, Gwinnett, I have gained a profound understanding of the unique experiences and challenges faced by women within this faith. In my conversations with them, I often discover that their lives are intricately connected to eternal truths, even if they may not fully grasp them. Many find themselves in a constant struggle, torn between who they truly are and the expectations imposed upon them by society or their own desires. However, when given the freedom to choose, I have witnessed most individuals embracing their authentic selves with fresh perspectives and renewed clarity. It is not a matter of changing who they are but rather untangling the confusion created by societal expectations, taking a moment to find inner clarity, and aligning with the profound truths woven by the Creator.

In my coaching approach, I refrain from offering direct input or answers. Instead, I have mastered the art of asking thought-provoking questions that unlock the answers that lie within each individual. I firmly believe that within every person resides a wealth of wisdom waiting to be discovered and expressed. Through our coaching journey together, I guide and facilitate the process of self-discovery, empowering my clients to access their innate wisdom and embrace their unique path in life.
