Why Sury Klein, LMSW chose to be in the helping profession

You want closeness but find yourself pulling away. One minute you're craving connection; the next you're bracing for impact—waiting for the other shoe to drop even when things feel "fine." On the outside, you look like you have it together. Inside, you feel on edge or stuck in patterns you can’t change.
You often wonder if what you went through was "bad enough" to justify how you feel. Whether you’re numbing through substances or just feeling disconnected, I help you quiet the noise of a nervous system that doesn't know how to turn off. Let’s stop the cycle of pulling away. Sury Klein, LMSW's approach

I specialize in the intersection of trauma, addiction, and repeating relationship patterns. Many people reach out when they feel stuck but don’t fully understand what’s driving their reactions. Whether you are using substances to cope or just feeling on edge, I help you move beneath the surface to regulate your nervous system and finally break the cycle.

What you can expect from sessions with Sury Klein, LMSW

My approach is to help you understand your triggers so that, over time, your relationships—and your world—begin to feel safer, more steady, and more connected. Reach out today.

Sury Klein, LMSW's experience working with the Jewish community

I am an Orthodox Jewish therapist with experience working in and alongside the Jewish community, while deeply respecting and welcoming individuals from all religious and cultural backgrounds. I understand the unique complexities that can arise when trauma, addiction, sexual abuse, or intimacy concerns intersect with faith, modesty, and communal expectations.

These experiences are often layered, shaped by personal pain as well as the values and pressures of a close-knit community. I approach this work with sensitivity, awareness, and deep respect for how faith and identity can influence both suffering and healing.

My goal is to provide culturally sensitive, trauma-informed care where difficult topics can be explored without fear of judgment, dismissal, or having to choose between one’s faith and one’s healing. Together, we work thoughtfully and collaboratively to support growth, clarity, and integrity within the context of what matters most to each individual.
