Why Solomon Weinreb, LMHC chose to be in the helping profession

Becoming a therapist felt like a natural path for me. I've always been someone who sees the good in others and finds joy in their success. During my years in Yeshiva, I noticed that people often felt comfortable confiding in me. They trusted me with their inner thoughts and struggles. I appreciated their trust and experienced a deep sense of fulfillment in being present with them.

I also value the chance to step into someone else’s world—to see life from a perspective that may be vastly different from mine yet equally valid and meaningful. For me, therapy is more than a profession; it’s a privilege to create genuine connections, walk alongside others on their journeys, and grow together. Few careers offer this depth of shared humanity, and I’m grateful to be part of it.

Solomon Weinreb, LMHC's approach

Therapy is both an art and a science, blending evidence-based techniques with the intuitive understanding of each unique individual. While both aspects are essential for meaningful progress, my personal approach leans more toward the intuitive side, creating a deeply personalized experience for every client.

I integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Mindfulness practices. This combination allows me to address challenges on multiple levels—helping clients break free from negative patterns while fostering a deeper understanding of themselves.

Each person’s journey is unique, and my approach reflects that. I tailor my methods to the individual's specific needs and goals, ensuring the process is as impactful as it is personalized. Therapy, for me, isn’t about a one-size-fits-all solution; it’s about meeting clients where they are and helping them navigate toward growth and healing.

What you can expect from sessions with Solomon Weinreb, LMHC

It’s completely normal to feel hesitant about opening up to someone new, especially when discussing your deepest struggles. That’s why trust is the foundation of effective therapy. My style is casual and approachable, which often helps clients feel at ease within the first 2-3 sessions.

The therapeutic alliance we build is powerful—it provides reassurance that you’re not alone. You’ll know there’s someone in your corner who genuinely wants to see you succeed. Together, we’ll work toward understanding your goals and identify the approaches that resonate most with you. Whether we use a single method or explore multiple strategies, the process remains flexible and collaborative. If you feel a different approach would better suit your needs, we’ll adjust without hesitation.

My goal is for you to leave therapy with a stronger sense of well-being and a higher quality of life. Therapy is a partnership, and I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way.

Solomon Weinreb, LMHC's experience working with the Jewish community

For many years, I’ve had the privilege of serving the Jewish community in various capacities, each offering unique opportunities to connect and support individuals from different perspectives.

I began as a Title 1 teacher at Bobov, where I worked closely with students to support their educational needs. I then spent three years in Comm-Hab, helping individuals navigate daily challenges and build essential life skills.

As a Case Manager in Ohel's Apartment Treatment Program, I provided guidance and support to clients in transitional living situations for two years. Following that, I worked for three years as a Care Manager at Hamaspik’s Health Homes program, coordinating care and ensuring clients received the services they needed.

For the past three years, I’ve also had the honor of serving as a therapist at Pesach Tikvah, offering emotional and mental health support during this significant time of year.

Each role has enriched my understanding of the community’s diverse needs, deepened my empathy, and strengthened my ability to meet clients where they are, with care and respect.
