Shain Falk, LPCI's style
💙 Warm 🥇 Empowering 🧘 Calm 🤝 CollaborativeWhy Shain Falk, LPCI chose to be in the helping profession
I’ve always been drawn to understanding people beneath the surface: what they carry, what shapes them, and what helps them heal. I’m deeply curious about the inner worlds people hold, especially the experiences that often go unseen or unspoken. Over time, that curiosity grew into a genuine desire to sit with people in their stories and understand the meaning behind what they have been through. It is this natural pull toward people and their experiences that ultimately led me to this work.
My own life experiences have shown me just how complex and layered people are, particularly during times of pain, transition, and growth. I have come to appreciate how much strength it takes to navigate difficult seasons and how meaningful it can be to have a space where you do not have to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or carry everything on your own. Having that kind of space can be incredibly powerful. It allows people to slow down, reflect, and begin to understand themselves in a deeper and more compassionate way.
In my work, I believe healing is not about fixing someone or trying to change who they are. Instead, it is about helping people reconnect with themselves in a way that feels honest, compassionate, and safe. When people feel supported both emotionally and physically, they are often able to access parts of themselves that have been buried under stress, pain, or self doubt. My goal is to create a space where that reconnection can happen naturally, with care, patience, and a deep respect for each person’s process.
Shain Falk, LPCI's approach
My approach to therapy is grounded, collaborative, and deeply attuned to your pace and inner world. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all model; instead, I tailor our work to who you are, the experiences you’ve carried, and the goals you want to reach. I see therapy as a partnership, where your insight and intuition are central to the process, and I aim to hold space that is both compassionate and empowering. Every session is designed to meet you where you are while gently encouraging exploration and growth at a pace that feels right for you.
I integrate talk therapy with somatic work, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and psychodrama. This allows us to not only make sense of your experiences cognitively but also attend to how they are held in your body, exploring release or integration as it feels appropriate. My work is trauma-informed and person-centered, prioritizing emotional safety, choice, and empowerment. True healing, I believe, happens when you feel secure enough to be honest with yourself and supported enough to take the steps toward meaningful change.
What you can expect from sessions with Shain Falk, LPCI
You can expect a space that is warm, nonjudgmental, and authentic. I show up as a human first—present, engaged, and attuned—while also bringing a strong clinical foundation to support our work together. My aim is to create an environment where you feel seen and heard, where it’s safe to explore whatever arises without pressure or pretense.
In our sessions, we might talk, reflect, explore emotions, or engage in more experiential work depending on what feels right for you. Some sessions may lean toward insight and understanding, while others focus on processing, release, or simply sitting with what is coming up. You won’t be pushed before you’re ready, but I will gently challenge you when it aligns with your goals and feels supportive. Most importantly, you don’t have to come in with everything figured out—you can come exactly as you are, and that is more than enough.
Shain Falk, LPCI's experience working with the Jewish community
I was raised in the ultra-Orthodox community, and while I’ve made some changes in my own life, I remain deeply connected to and appreciative of the values, traditions, and rhythms of Orthodox life. That lived experience gives me an insider perspective on the expectations, pressures, and everyday realities that shape this community, allowing me to understand both the strengths and the challenges without needing everything explained.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, Yom Tov stress, parenting, relationships, or questions around identity, I understand the context these experiences exist in and the nuances that can make them feel especially complex. I work with individuals across a wide range of experiences—those who feel connected, those who feel conflicted, and those simply trying to find their place. My goal is to create a space where you can be honest, reflect clearly, and explore your experiences with openness, curiosity, and without judgment.

I’ve known Shain for 2 years through various therapy activities such as group healing intensives, and she interns with me as well. She is excellent at being attunement and utilizing multiple modalities to support others. She also handles feedback well and is open to guidance and support.
