Sara Newman, LMHC's style
🎯 Direct 💙 Warm 😃 Humorous 👂 ListenerWhy Sara Newman, LMHC chose to be in the helping profession
My decision to enter the helping profession stemmed from a deep desire to support others as they navigate life’s most challenging moments. Early in my career, I saw firsthand the powerful impact that empathy, understanding, and a safe space can have on someone’s healing journey. Over the years, working with individuals and families facing trauma, grief, addiction, and the complexities of infertility only deepened my commitment. My own personal experiences with fertility challenges have profoundly shaped my perspective, inspiring me to focus on areas where hope can feel out of reach and resilience is hard-won.
I believe that everyone deserves access to compassionate care, genuine validation, and steady guidance—especially during times of emotional pain and uncertainty. Being part of someone’s journey through adversity and supporting them as they uncover strength, clarity, and healing is both a privilege and a calling I hold close.
Sara Newman, LMHC's approach
My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, evidence-based practice, and a deep commitment to creating a safe and non-judgmental space for healing. I believe in meeting each individual and family exactly where they are, honoring their unique stories, struggles, and strengths. By integrating modalities such as CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, EMDR, and specialized training in grief, bereavement, infertility, and postpartum challenges, I customize each treatment plan to meet the needs of the person in front of me.
I’m passionate about building a therapeutic relationship based on trust, respect, and a shared belief in the human capacity for growth and transformation. My goal is to help clients move through life’s difficulties with more clarity and resilience, and to support them in discovering the inner resources they need to experience lasting well-being.

Sara Newman, LMHC's experience working with the Jewish community
For nearly 20 years, I have been privileged to work within the Jewish community, supporting individuals and families through many of life’s most difficult and meaningful moments. It has been an honor to walk alongside clients as they face challenges that touch the core of their identities and relationships. Being part of a community with shared values and traditions has given me a deep appreciation for the strengths and sensitivities that shape the therapeutic process within this context.

I strive to create a space that feels safe, compassionate, and free of judgment — a place where clients can be fully seen and heard.
