π Warm π Listener π‘ Solution-oriented π₯ EmpoweringWhy Nomi Yehoshua, MS RDN chose to be in the helping profession
I became a nutritionist because I am passionate about sharing the pleasure and delight that food can bring into people's lives. It's essential for me to help people recognize that food isn't an adversary, but a source of joy and a means to connect with others.
I thrive on forming connections with people and guiding them towards a more positive outlook on life. Encouraging others to embrace the potential for change is something I'm truly passionate about. I enjoy sharing my growth-oriented mindset with others, enabling them to tap into their own potential and move forward. I find purpose in helping others "become" rather than staying stagnant and just "being" or existing.
Nomi Yehoshua, MS RDN's approach
I integrate the principles of mindfulness and positive thinking extensively into my practice. Within my role, I perceive my clients as the architects of their own health and wellness journeys, and I'm here as their dedicated guide and unwavering support. I view myself as a mentor, offering both accountability and a nurturing presence.
It's crucial to emphasize that I don't see my mission as fixing people. Instead, I firmly believe that individuals possess the innate ability to empower themselves, and my coaching serves as the compass that leads them toward success, all while managing anxiety and overwhelm.
My approach extends beyond the superficial; we delve into the realm of behavioral transformation by rewiring habits, addressing the underlying causes, and not merely alleviating surface-level symptoms.
What you can expect from sessions with Nomi Yehoshua, MS RDN
During our sessions, here's what you can look forward to:
Reflecting on Progress: We'll start by reviewing the successes and setbacks of the past week. Rather than viewing setbacks as roadblocks, we see them as opportunities for growth.
Setting Actionable Goals: In each session, we'll collaboratively set goals for the upcoming week or weeks. These goals are action-based and designed to facilitate the gradual transformation of behaviors.
Commitment to the Journey: It's important to recognize that creating lasting lifestyle changes takes time. Most clients work with me for a minimum of 3 months, although many opt for 6-month intervals. Just as our habits weren't formed overnight, we can't expect them to change overnight. My primary objective is to foster enduring, sustainable improvements in your life, empowering you to take charge of your own health journey.
Nomi Yehoshua, MS RDN's experience working with the Jewish community
Working closely within the Jewish community, I've gained a deep understanding of the unique challenges that come with family life, holidays, Simchas (celebrations), and the profound connection between Judaism and food. I can genuinely relate to these challenges because I share a similar lifestyle and background with the individuals I assist every day.
My own experiences mirror those of my clients, and this personal connection allows me to empathize with their struggles. I'm here to support others like myself in navigating these shared challenges. In our close-knit community, our lives are intricately woven together, and through dedicated effort and a focus on overcoming obstacles, I've witnessed how our lives can become richer, more joyful, and filled with greater meaning.
