Michael Glaz, LMHC's style
💙 Warm 🌎 Holistic 🧘 Calm 🤝 CollaborativeWhy Michael Glaz, LMHC chose to be in the helping profession
I chose to become a therapist because I am deeply drawn to work that centers on human connection, growth, and meaningful change. Over time, I have seen how powerful it can be when people feel truly understood, rather than judged or rushed to fix themselves. Many individuals come to therapy feeling stuck, frustrated, or worn down by patterns that once served a purpose but no longer do. Therapy offers a structured and supportive space to slow things down, build clarity, and begin looking at these patterns with intention and care.
I believe that meaningful change happens through collaboration, trust, and a sense of safety. This profession allows me to partner with people during moments of vulnerability and transition, when things may feel uncertain or overwhelming. Together, we work to uncover strengths that may have been overlooked or forgotten, and to create space for new perspectives and possibilities. My goal is to support individuals in moving toward a life that feels more aligned, grounded, and connected to the future they have been striving for.
Michael Glaz, LMHC's approach
My approach to therapy is integrative and holistic, grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when the mind, body, and emotional system are addressed together. I draw from evidence-based modalities including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, breathwork, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, thoughtfully tailoring the work to each client’s unique needs and goals. Rather than relying on a single method, I integrate these approaches in a flexible way that honors safety, pacing, and collaboration. This allows therapy to remain responsive, grounded, and aligned with where each person is in their process.
I view symptoms not as problems to eliminate, but as signals pointing toward areas that need care, understanding, and integration. From this perspective, symptoms become meaningful messengers rather than obstacles. My role is not to push or fix, but to walk alongside clients with curiosity and respect. Together, we create a therapeutic relationship that feels safe, supportive, and deeply human.
What you can expect from sessions with Michael Glaz, LMHC
In our sessions, you can expect a space that feels calm, grounded, and nonjudgmental, where you are met with warmth, curiosity, and respect. I take time to understand not only what brings you to therapy, but how your lived experiences have shaped the patterns you may feel stuck in today. Sessions are active and engaging, while always moving at a pace that feels safe, intentional, and manageable. We work collaboratively, setting clear goals while staying open to what unfolds in the moment.
Over time, clients often notice greater clarity and emotional flexibility, along with a deeper sense of self-trust. As insight grows, many people feel more confident in their ability to navigate challenges and make choices that align with their values. Therapy becomes a space to practice new ways of relating to yourself and others. My hope is that this work supports you in moving forward with steadiness, confidence, and a renewed sense of possibility.
Michael Glaz, LMHC's experience working with the Jewish community
I have extensive experience working with individuals and families within the Jewish community, across a wide range of religious backgrounds and levels of observance. As a ba’al teshuva, I bring a perspective that allows me to understand both the cultural nuances of observant life and the complexities of navigating the secular world. I am attentive to how faith, family dynamics, and community expectations can intersect with mental health, relationships, and major life transitions. This awareness helps shape a therapeutic space that is thoughtful, informed, and responsive to each client’s lived experience.
My approach is respectful, nonassumptive, and collaborative, allowing clients to explore their concerns in a way that aligns with their values rather than feeling in conflict with them. I do not come in with an agenda or predetermined conclusions about what growth should look like. Instead, I focus on listening closely and partnering with clients as they clarify what feels meaningful and authentic to them. My goal is to create a space where clients feel understood both clinically and culturally, without judgment and with genuine care.
