Why Judah Katz, MFC chose to be in the helping profession

I embody a highly sensitive nature, finding fulfillment in supporting not only others but also myself. Initially, my motivation to assist stemmed from a desire to "earn my value or worth," yet I later discovered the fallacy in that belief. Despite this realization, the joy derived from helping others had already become a significant part of my identity.

My innate curiosity drives me towards change and transformation, and I am captivated by the exchange of ideas and concepts that have profoundly influenced my life. I naturally gravitate towards sharing, delving into my inner self, exchanging thoughts with others, and synthesizing diverse perspectives. This continual cycle of sharing and learning allows me to combine varied insights with my own, creating a rich tapestry of experiences that I'm eager to share with the world.

Judah Katz, MFC's approach

In my therapeutic approach, I prioritize a receptive and agenda-free stance, tuning into the client's energy to explore our journey together organically. Compassion serves as my guiding light, creating a space where emotions and feelings are not only acknowledged but also fully embraced. I find inner child work, particularly through breathwork, to be an invaluable tool in facilitating healing.

My mission centers around empowering men to connect with their emotions, encouraging them to embrace their humanity without reservations. I firmly believe that our most significant life challenge lies in resisting the present moment, and by releasing that resistance and embracing our humanity, we unlock the potential for transformative change.

What you can expect from sessions with Judah Katz, MFC

During our sessions, you can anticipate a client-centered approach where the individual takes the lead, and I accompany them as a supportive companion or nurturing older sibling on their journey. The emphasis will often be on exploring the sensations within the body and creating a safe, open space for the expression of emotions. Together, we will delve into past experiences, offering compassion and understanding to repair any lingering shame or distressing feelings, ultimately paving the way for the construction of a new, empowering narrative.

A key aspect of our work involves harnessing the power of imagination to reprogram the subconscious mind, envisioning a more liberated and fulfilling future. Additionally, our sessions will aim to expand self-expression through various means, including emotional release, movement, and breathwork. By engaging in this holistic approach, we strive to foster personal growth, resilience, and a greater sense of freedom.

Judah Katz, MFC's experience working with the Jewish community

Over the past decade, my professional journey has been marked by diverse experiences within the Jewish community in Jerusalem. I have served as an educator in ten post-high school yeshivas and seminaries, imparting knowledge and guidance to students in their transitional phases. As a therapist, I've dedicated a decade to working within the Jerusalem Jewish community, offering therapeutic support to individuals seeking assistance.

My involvement extends to the rehabilitation sector, where I contributed my skills at a rehabilitation center in Jerusalem. Additionally, I took on the role of running a rehabilitation-style yeshiva for two years in the historic Old City of Jerusalem. This immersive experience allowed me to combine therapeutic expertise with educational leadership.

Notably, I played a pivotal role as the Director of Admissions, recruiting students for post-high school yeshivas. For three years, I traveled extensively across North America, engaging with schools and facilitating the admission process. This experience afforded me a unique perspective on the diverse needs and aspirations of students in different educational settings.

In the realm of fundraising, I dedicated two years to organizing events and preparing dinners for a yeshiva. This role not only enhanced my administrative skills but also deepened my understanding of the vital financial support required for educational institutions.

My multifaceted background in education, therapy, admissions, rehabilitation, and fundraising reflects a commitment to contributing meaningfully to the growth and well-being of the Jewish community, particularly in the dynamic context of Jerusalem.
