David Lemmer's style
🎯 Direct 💙 Warm 💡 Solution-oriented 🙏 SpiritualWhy David Lemmer chose to be in the helping profession
We are all capable of being the one who changes the world. All we truly need is belief.
Over time, I’ve come to see how we subconsciously program ourselves with limiting beliefs, and how often we reinforce them day after day without even noticing. It breaks my heart to watch so much time and potential go to waste in people who carry such incredible gifts within them, yet have been conditioned to see themselves as smaller than they truly are.
I believe we are born with a powerful will and a purpose our soul chose before we arrived here. But through life experiences, and the beliefs we absorb along the way, we slowly begin to confine ourselves within those very boundaries. We repeat these beliefs internally, and then make daily choices that reinforce a limited version of who we think we are, even when something deeper within us knows there is more.
What I’ve realized is that this same process can be reversed. The very mechanism that builds limiting beliefs can be used to create empowering ones instead. When you begin to upgrade your beliefs and truly respect the person you are becoming, your choices naturally begin to reflect that future self. Over time, through consistent action and awareness, you gradually step into who you were always meant to be.
I help you identify the limiting stories you tell yourself so you can shift course and step into a more powerful life. This work is about recognizing the repeating patterns in your life and understanding that resistance is not a blockage, but an invitation to grow. Belief is what opens every door, yet fear often shapes the decisions we make before we even realize it. That is why it becomes so important to examine and understand your belief system, so you can finally choose from a place of alignment rather than limitation.
David Lemmer's approach
Hypnotherapy.
Between the moment something happens in reality and your reaction to it lies an entire world of “meta-data” — memories, experiences, thoughts, and knowledge. All of this information becomes the hidden foundation behind the choices and reactions we make every day, often without realizing it.
With your sincere will to create a better life, whether that means releasing fears, anxiety, addiction, or depression, or building new goals and visions, I guide you gently through your inner world. We listen closely to the quiet voice that has been calling out for years. That voice may not have been clearly heard until now, but the feelings it carries have always been present and shaping your experience.
Together, we tune into what you truly want and where your soul feels most at peace. From there, we work step by step to find even the smallest actions that move you in that direction. Resistance will naturally arise, doubts and past experiences will speak up, but we walk through those inner landscapes together, facing those voices until they begin to loosen their grip and make room for something more true.
Everything you learn comes through the conversation you have with yourself. My role is to help you stay focused, highlight the patterns you might be missing, and guide you toward new conclusions you arrive at on your own. These insights then begin to embed themselves naturally into your daily life, supporting you in the moments where old patterns would have once taken over.
In the end, all we really have in this world is time. It would mean a great deal to me if even one session could be enough to help you gain momentum and step more fully onto your true path.
What you can expect from sessions with David Lemmer
You will change your perspective on life. While simple habit changes are valuable, it is the deeper shift in mindset and perspective that creates lasting transformation. You begin to observe your life as if you were your own therapist, and in doing so you start to discover the true power of choice.
This new mindset gives you the clarity to recognize old patterns and gently question the things you have taken for granted for many years. You may begin this process to overcome something specific, like the fear of flying, but over time you might notice yourself trying foods you once dismissed as “not your taste,” or responding differently in situations that used to feel automatic. You start to see every choice as its own moment, one that either brings more ease and calm to your heart or takes you away from it. When something feels even slightly off, you learn to pause, notice the feeling, observe the thoughts running through your mind, and consciously decide what comes next. It becomes the ability to slow time internally, creating enough space to choose more wisely.
You will learn how to truly think in your daily life, in your prayers, in your learning, and in the quiet in-between moments. By not taking things at face value, every word, experience, and interaction opens into something deeper, full of meaning and opportunity. Since what we are ultimately seeking is a sense of true peace, you begin to notice it in what was always there: the chirping of birds, the quiet wisdom of trees, and the subtle beauty of ordinary life that had gone unnoticed.
When you create real change in one area of your life, the rest naturally begins to follow. It’s a bit like changing the doormat in a house, suddenly the door feels brighter, the entryway feels fresher, and that shift quietly spreads through the rest of the space.
David Lemmer's experience working with the Jewish community
I have had the privilege of working with many Jewish clients and have consistently witnessed a deep capacity for hope and resilience, even in some of the most challenging circumstances. There is often a strong sense of meaning-making and inner strength that comes through in their stories, no matter what they are facing. I find it profoundly moving to sit with people as they reconnect to that sense of possibility within themselves.
Our faith and tradition can be a powerful support for mental and emotional growth. Because the mind naturally works through association, always linking present experiences to something familiar, the therapeutic process becomes especially rich and layered. Jewish life is filled with story, metaphor, and history, from the lives of Joseph, David, and many others, and these narratives often become meaningful reference points in the work we do together. When personal experiences are viewed through that lens of story and meaning, they can open up new ways of understanding and healing.
For many people, faith in God can also become a grounding force in this process. The ability to trust in something greater than oneself can support the release of control and create more space for presence, even in the midst of struggle. This sense of surrender is not about giving up, but about softening the internal tension that often keeps us stuck, so that change can happen with more ease and clarity.
Jewish prayer and Tehillim are also deeply expressive texts, filled with language around love, gratitude, peace, acceptance, and longing. These words are not only recited, they are experienced, and they can awaken real emotional states within us. When we work with those emotions consciously, there is an opportunity to bring them into alignment in a healthier way, and to relate to them with more awareness and intention.
At its core, this work is about integration, of thoughts, emotions, and lived experience. When different parts of the self are acknowledged and brought into harmony, there is often a natural sense of relief and wholeness that follows. In that way, healing becomes less about becoming someone new, and more about returning to a more connected and coherent version of who you already are.

What people have to say about working with me:
-
My name is G.Y., 53 After a many years of struggling with an addiction, I finally found Hypnotherapy. I’ve gone to therapy for over years, at first justifying my victimhood which slowly taught me to admit to my issues, which eventually translated into taking back control of my life. But I still struggled. I got over my terrible depression and regained my reputation around my friends. I even heard them say, “She’s back!” after I cracked one of my old jokes and belly laughed with them. But inside, I was struggling to overcome the deep rooted sadness that simply wouldn’t go away. On the outside I seemed to have it all together, but behind closed doors I calmed myself in the comfort of my addiction. The depression, although mostly understood still crept in and wouldn’t leave me alone. I really wanted to get over the pain in my heart, and traditional therapy wasn’t doing much at the pace I desired. It helped that I had whom to talk to with honesty, but some deeply rooted beliefs were still controlling me. Hypnotherapy taught me to see my issues for what they are. I gained a perspective of what my life is about and what tools I have in my arsenal. I finally found my place in life, and slowly formed my life around this new belief. I built my confidence in areas I didn’t even know were related to my sadness, and with that came a sense of purpose. I know, I am 53, and I still have a life to live, but if only I had these thoughts thirty years ago, who knows how different life would be? For my testimonial I say, Lemmer Hypnotherapy isn’t just a therapy for comfort, it is the place you go when you are ready to commit to a new lifestyle. You will uncover truths about yourself that will be in front of your eyes from that day forward, and those old habits will feel foreign as you entertain them in the future. It has for me. Try it for yourself and thank me later. So much more is the experience of a session than of my words. Try it.
