🎯 Direct 💙 Warm 👂 Listener 💡 Solution-orientedWhy Shira Renzoni, MSW chose to be in the helping profession
Helping others has always felt natural to me. Even before formally entering this field, I found myself drawn to the emotional worlds of those around me—listening deeply, offering support, and simply being present. I discovered how meaningful it is to witness someone’s growth and healing, and over time, I realized I wanted to do this work not just in my personal life, but professionally. Walking alongside someone as they gain clarity, strength, and self-understanding is a responsibility I take seriously and a privilege I deeply value.
This work allows me to bring my empathy, curiosity about the human experience, and my belief in every person’s capacity for healing into each session. I approach each person with openness and respect, honoring their unique journey while helping them explore the patterns, challenges, and strengths that shape their life. My goal is to create a space where insight and growth can flourish, and where clients feel supported in building the skills and awareness they need to thrive. Being part of someone’s path toward greater self-understanding is both inspiring and grounding, reminding me every day why I chose this path.
Shira Renzoni, MSW's approach
My approach to therapy is grounded in building a strong, authentic connection with each client. I aim to create a safe, welcoming space where they feel comfortable sharing whatever is on their mind or in their heart. I believe that real healing begins with being truly seen, heard, and accepted exactly as you are. When clients feel this kind of validation, it lays the foundation for growth, insight, and meaningful change.
I work to help each person get to know themselves more deeply, exploring their inner world with curiosity and compassion. As self-understanding deepens, clients become better equipped to navigate life’s challenges and move toward healing. I follow each client’s lead, meeting them where they are, and offering presence, empathy, and gentle guidance along the way. Deep listening is central to my work, and I strive to hold a space where clients feel understood, cared for, and inherently worthy.
I also support clients in connecting with their bodies, recognizing that emotions are often stored physically as well as mentally. I frequently integrate elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS), helping clients identify and understand the different parts of themselves with compassion. Ultimately, my approach is about fostering a steady, supportive relationship where healing can unfold naturally, at a pace that feels right for each individual.
What you can expect from sessions with Shira Renzoni, MSW
You can expect our sessions to feel warm, welcoming, and fully centered around you. I invite you to bring whatever is present in the moment, and I will meet you exactly where you are. While I follow my client’s lead, I also help us stay gently focused on what matters most, so that our time together feels purposeful and supportive.
I am a deep listener, and many clients share that they feel truly heard and validated in our work together. I bring empathy and presence into the room, making every effort to help clients feel seen, valued, and worthy – because they are. I also pay close attention to the wisdom of the body, recognizing that so much of what we carry emotionally is held physically. I often integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) into sessions, helping clients explore and care for the different parts of themselves with curiosity and compassion. Together, this approach creates a space where insight, growth, and healing can unfold naturally.
Shira Renzoni, MSW's experience working with the Jewish community
I have had the privilege of working with teen girls at risk from ultra-Orthodox homes, supporting them through some of their most vulnerable moments. Over time, my work has expanded to include a wide range of individuals within the Jewish community, from teens to young and middle-aged women, each bringing their own unique story, challenges, and strengths. Every client I work with adds to my understanding of the diversity and richness of experiences within the community.
Being part of this work has taught me the importance of approaching each person with sensitivity, respect, and genuine care for their individual journey. I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to explore their paths at their own pace. My goal is to walk alongside them, offering guidance, empathy, and insight, while honoring the uniqueness of their story and the resilience they bring.
