💙 Warm 👂 Listener 💡 Solution-oriented 🥇 EmpoweringWhy Shaindel Steinberg, JD, CMSC chose to be in the helping profession
My heart broke every time I saw a marriage fall apart. Having been deeply affected by divorce among those near and dear to me, I became passionate about helping women create stronger, healthier, and more connected marriages. I believe that when a wife feels empowered with the right tools, understanding, and perspective, she can bring greater closeness and connection into her relationship and more b'racha into her home. It is incredibly meaningful to me to support women as they strengthen one of the most important relationships in their lives.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with women from across the entire spectrum of Jewish observance, from those who are not yet Torah observant to Chareidi women. The feedback from both my 6-Week Marriage Secrets Workshops and my confidential one-on-one coaching has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic and deeply gratifying. To better support my clients and understand the challenges they may be facing, I have familiarized myself with a variety of mental health concerns and have studied DBT. My goal is always to provide a safe, respectful, and practical space where women can grow, gain clarity, and strengthen their marriages.
B"H, I bring a unique and diverse background to my coaching. I draw upon more than 40 years of marriage experience, decades of involvement in kiruv, and a former career as a New York attorney. Having lived in Brooklyn, Boston, Manhattan, and Passaic before making Yerushalayim my home more than 20 years ago, I have been blessed with the opportunity to connect with people from many different backgrounds and walks of life. Today, I remain deeply dedicated to my family, my community, and helping Jewish women build the strong, fulfilling marriages they desire.
Shaindel Steinberg, JD, CMSC's approach
My approach begins with deep, compassionate listening in order to truly understand your unique story and marriage dynamic. I ask targeted, thoughtful questions that help bring clarity to the core challenges, so we can identify what needs attention first. From there, I ground the work in timeless Torah wisdom, helping to shape a clear and meaningful pathway forward that fits who you are and what you are navigating.
Once we have that direction, we focus on practical, real-life solutions that are broken down into manageable weekly action steps. The goal is to make change feel achievable and to help you improve your relationship day by day, not all at once. During sessions, we also do role-playing so that the tools and homework feel concrete, natural, and easy to bring into real situations. This helps you leave each session with clarity and a sense of confidence in what to do next.
Throughout the process, I bring a high level of encouragement, support, and lighthearted humor to keep the work steady but also uplifting. I aim to make the growth journey feel grounded and even enjoyable, not heavy or overwhelming. Because the work is focused, structured, and highly actionable, many clients experience a meaningful positive shift in their marriage within five to six sessions.
What you can expect from sessions with Shaindel Steinberg, JD, CMSC
Every 45-minute session with me is a structured, safe space designed to help you move your marriage forward in a steady and practical way. We begin by reviewing your weekly homework, looking at what worked well and where it may need to be adjusted or fine-tuned. From there, we collaborate on the next step, focusing on realistic ways to build greater closeness and connection with your husband.
Along the way, you receive consistent encouragement and support for the many positive things you are already doing for your home and relationship. I deeply believe that choosing to seek help is an act of strength, and our sessions are a space where you can feel seen, supported, and proud of your effort to grow. Each session is designed to leave you with clarity and direction, so you are never left wondering what comes next.
Most importantly, you walk away with a sense of relief, knowing you are no longer carrying the burden of marital stress alone. There is also a growing sense of hope as you begin to see meaningful shifts in your marriage. Over time, the goal is to help you move toward the warm, connected, and loving relationship you are truly looking for.
Shaindel Steinberg, JD, CMSC's experience working with the Jewish community
While marriage coaching is my greatest passion, my family and I have also spent decades deeply involved in communal service and kiruv work. Our commitment to the community has included a wide range of initiatives such as founding schools, building kiruv organizations, establishing yeshivas, teaching, and ongoing mentoring. These experiences have shaped the way I understand people, relationships, and the many layers of challenges individuals and families face.
Over the years, we have also dedicated significant time to facilitating shidduchim, offering pro bono legal work, and opening our home to countless individuals, families, and groups. Our home has always been a place of hospitality and support, often welcoming people to stay with us for varying periods during times of transition, difficulty, or need. This has given me a deep, lived understanding of human dynamics, resilience, and emotional support in real-life situations.
Every woman I coach benefits from these decades of hands-on experience supporting the diverse needs of the community. It informs my perspective, strengthens my ability to listen with depth, and allows me to bring both practical wisdom and real-world sensitivity into the coaching process.
