Psychosomatic Breathwork's Purpose or Mission
Breathwork is a powerful modality that invites you to focus on your breath in a very intentional way. When we work with the breath like this, we gently bypass the thinking mind and make space to access emotions, traumas, and energies that may have been stuck for a long time. The nature of this practice often leads to a softening of the heart and a deeper connection with parts of yourself that might not always have a chance to be heard. From this place, breathwork can open the door to deep healing, emotional release, and an energetic cleansing or resetting that feels both grounding and expansive.
My intention is to support the body’s own natural healing mechanisms and to offer a space where that process can unfold safely and authentically. I approach each participant with care, presence, and trust in their inner wisdom. Breathwork is not about fixing or forcing anything, but rather allowing what wants to surface to do so with compassion. It is my hope to help you reconnect with your inner self in a way that feels meaningful, empowering, and truly your own.
Psychosomatic Breathwork is designed for
The breathwork that I facilitate is meant to support and deepen the therapy process. So often therapy can feel stuck, or like it is moving too slowly, or not reaching the deeper layers of the psyche where real healing needs to happen. Breathwork can help shift that. Many people describe it as “psychedelics without the medicine” because it bypasses the thinking mind and connects you to a deeper part of the soul that is often hard to access through words alone.
For breathwork to be most effective, I encourage participants to already be engaged in therapy so they have a grounded container for what may surface. Meeting with your therapist soon after a breathwork session is especially important, because it gives you space to integrate the insights, emotions, and experiences that come up. Breathwork opens a door, and therapy helps you make sense of what you find on the other side. My aim is to help you move through that process with clarity and support, so the shifts you experience can truly take root.
Participants who join Psychosomatic Breathwork can expect
Breathwork is an intense and meaningful experience, and I want participants to feel prepared and supported throughout the entire process. Each session can last up to two hours, beginning with a clear explanation of what will happen and what you can expect to feel or notice. The breathing portion takes place on a mat on the floor with an eye mask, accompanied by music and an atmosphere designed to encourage reflection and personal exploration. We start with several minutes of calm breathing and grounding so the body and mind can settle before moving into the deeper work.
The more intense, active breathing phase generally lasts around forty to forty-five minutes, with pauses in between to allow time for processing whatever emotions, sensations, or memories may be coming up. After the active portion, there is a generous period dedicated to integrating and understanding your experience, since this is often where the most meaningful insights emerge. We close with a short discussion at the end, giving you a few minutes to share or ask questions if you choose. The entire structure is designed to hold you safely while giving space for real inner movement to take place.
Jewish Community Experience
I have extensive experience working within the Jewish community, and that background deeply informs the way I approach my work. My training centers on understanding the experiences a person has lived through and how those past moments may still be affecting them in the present. I take the time to really listen, to see the patterns that may be holding someone back, and to help them explore the roots of their pain with compassion and curiosity. This perspective allows the work to feel grounded, personal, and connected to each individual’s lived reality.
I primarily work with adults who are looking to move past their traumas and blockages so they can live a more robust and functional life. Many people come to me when they feel stuck or weighed down by old wounds that keep resurfacing in different ways. Together, we create a space where those experiences can be acknowledged and understood, not as defining traits but as parts of a story that can change. My goal is to support each person in finding more clarity, strength, and freedom so they can move forward with a greater sense of wholeness and possibility.
