Why Marina Breydo chose to be in the helping profession
Jewish Mental Health Counselor in Brookline, MA
I am Licensed Psychotherapist (LMHC) in Massachusetts and Florida. I have been a psychotherapist for over 25 years and through my work, I have helped hundreds of clients to improve their lives and relationships, regardless of their circumstances.
I have worked in different countries with people from different cultures, and I learned that people everywhere have the same problems and desires; they want to be loved, understood and accepted.
I received my M.D. degree in psychiatry (Russia) and I graduated from Cambridge College in Massachusetts with my Master's in Mental Health and Marriage & Family therapy. These credentials have allowed me to understand patients issues and consider then from both medical and psychological perspective. I was trained at Harvard Medical School and I regularly take CE courses for my professional growth. My professional approach is CBT and REBT.
I've been fortunate to work for over 8 years with the late Dr. David Rosengard M.D. Ph.D. at his South Boston Clinic. He was my inspiration, role model, and teacher. I also worked for many years at the Jewish Community in Boston with Jewish people who immigrated from different European countries. One of the proudest moments of my professional life is working with a group of Holocausts survivors.
My specialty is working with couples through relationships problems; depression; anxiety; adjustment in different living situations; early diagnostics of dementia and Alzheimer's; psychological problems with aging.
If you are looking for extra support and guidance in a challenging situations or if you are ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
