Bina Stefansky, LMSW's approach
Since the beginning of my schooling and throughout my professional journey, my focus has consistently been within the Jewish world. My career began with a meaningful engagement with the elderly, addressing issues such as grief, loneliness, and depression that often accompany the challenges faced by older individuals. Following this, I transitioned to working with young women and teenage girls within the English-speaking community here in Israel.
My therapeutic approach is based in a holistic perspective that considers individuals within the context of their overall environment. I am committed to working with clients as unique individuals, each possessing their own narrative and story, avoiding the limitations of diagnostic labels.
What you can expect from sessions with Bina Stefansky, LMSW
“Being in therapy doesn’t actually help people who don’t self-reflect and who aren’t trying to see their role in a situation. No therapist can make a person see what they’re not willing to see.” Dr. Nicole LePera
Therapy is a collaborative effort—where I am privileged to be a partner on your personal journey. We will work together, acknowledging that the success of therapy is tied to their motivation and commitment to achieving personal goals. I assure clients that I am here to support and guide them every step of the way.
I am dedicated to establish and provide a safe and trusting space, allowing for healing and growth. This secure relationship becomes a cornerstone for addressing past challenges and fostering positive connections for the future. The therapy room becomes a transformative space, with the insights gained resonating in clients' broader lives.
In sessions, we delve into the impact of trauma and childhood experiences, recognizing their profound influence on shaping individuals. Our work is goal-oriented and guided, drawing from modalities like solution-focused therapy, AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), and trauma-informed approaches. I emphasize a strength-based perspective, collaborating with clients to identify and leverage their internal and external resources and support. Clients can anticipate a comprehensive and transformative therapeutic experience, where insights gained in the therapy room extend into and positively impact their broader lives.
At my clinic, clients can find a comfortable and safe environment for optimal healing. I aim to establish a space where individuals can feel at ease, fostering an atmosphere conducive to open dialogue about any topic they wish to bring to our sessions. This approach reflects my dedication to ensuring that clients not only receive professional guidance but also experience a sense of calm and comfort as they embark on their therapeutic journey.
