Why Batsheva Bomzer, LCSW chose to be in the helping profession

From a young age, I felt a deep and undeniable pull toward the helping profession. I was always curious about psychology and human nature, and I found myself drawn to understanding what makes people feel seen, safe, and supported. With an innate sense of empathy and compassion, I naturally became someone others felt comfortable confiding in. These early experiences shaped my belief in the power of connection and the importance of holding space for others.

As I grew and began working more closely with clients, I witnessed time and again how transformative the therapeutic process can be. I’ve seen how it can turn pain into clarity, isolation into connection, and self-doubt into self-trust. These moments continue to affirm why I do this work.

I’m passionate about walking alongside people as they gently peel back the layers that may have once protected them but now hold them back. It’s a profound privilege to support others in reconnecting with their truth, reclaiming their voice, and stepping into a more authentic, fulfilling life.

Batsheva Bomzer, LCSW's approach

I take an integrative and client-centered approach to therapy, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities to meet each person where they are. I’m trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), and I tailor these methods to fit the unique goals, history, and needs of every client I work with.

I value offering practical tools to help navigate the challenges of daily life, while also creating space to explore the deeper emotional wounds and unresolved traumas that often underlie present-day struggles. I firmly believe that healing begins with understanding – recognizing the roots of our pain and meeting those wounded parts of ourselves with compassion. Whether through acceptance or transformation, this process can lead to lasting change.

Therapy is not just about symptom relief – it's about uncovering the true self that exists beneath layers of shame, fear, and self-protection. I’m honored to support my clients in doing this powerful and courageous work.

What you can expect from sessions with Batsheva Bomzer, LCSW

I strive to cultivate a safe, nurturing, and non-judgmental space where clients feel truly seen and supported. Many individuals come to therapy carrying intense emotional pain and a sense of loneliness. My goal is to foster a therapeutic relationship where clients feel understood and cared for, while also empowering them to work toward their goals. I’ll offer you practical tools to help manage day-to-day stressors and emotions, while also guiding you through deeper exploration when you're ready. This might include looking at patterns, addressing unresolved trauma, or working through long-held beliefs that may no longer serve you. I customize each session to align with the client’s specific needs. I maintain an open dialogue throughout the therapeutic process, ensuring that clients can express their thoughts and feelings as they progress on their journey.

I believe meaningful change happens when we gain insight into the roots of our struggles and begin to meet the wounded parts of ourselves with compassion. Whether through healing or acceptance, this process can lead to a powerful transformation and a renewed connection to your authentic self.

Batsheva Bomzer, LCSW's experience working with the Jewish community

For the past eight years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with individuals across the Jewish community. During my time at Refuah Health Center, where I worked for over seven years, I gained meaningful experience supporting clients from a wide range of Jewish backgrounds. In my private practice, I continue to work with individuals from various sects of Judaism, offering care that is both clinically informed and culturally sensitive.

I approach each client with deep respect for their heritage, traditions, and family values. I strive to understand how these cultural and spiritual elements shape their emotional experiences and influence their mental health. Together, we explore the intersection of identity and well-being, creating space for healing, growth, and a more integrated sense of self.
