Why Women's Inner Child Group chose to be in the helping profession
Do you feel a void inside, a sense of emptiness that nothing seems to fill? Have you been turning to the love of others, distractions, or old habits in an attempt to soothe yourself? Do you find yourself struggling to feel fully adult because the foundation of a nurturing, loving childhood feels missing? This Inner Child Group is designed to guide participants in reconnecting with and caring for their inner child, offering tools to reparent yourself with love, compassion, and understanding.
Through a combination of discussion, expressive exercises, and exploration of different aspects of inner child work, the group provides a supportive space to heal old wounds and rediscover your true self. Being part of a group adds an important layer of connection and shared experience, reminding you that you are not alone in your journey. Together, participants create a safe environment to nurture growth, cultivate self-compassion, and take meaningful steps toward emotional wholeness.
Women's Inner Child Group's approach
This six-week group is designed to help women deepen their connection with themselves and begin to heal the ruptures and wounds from their childhoods. Inner child work offers a profound form of healing that can help you better understand your patterns, emotions, and needs. It is particularly supportive for those with a history of childhood trauma, providing a framework to reparent hurting parts of yourself and cultivate a sense of safety and self-compassion.
The group welcomes both newcomers to inner child work and those who are already further along in their journey. Each participant engages in an individual process through experiential exercises while also benefiting from the collective energy of the group. Through discussion, sharing, and mutual support, the group creates a safe and nurturing space where everyone can explore their inner world, gain insight, and feel a sense of connection. This combination of personal exploration and shared experience makes the healing both deep and sustaining.
What you can expect from sessions with Women's Inner Child Group
The group combines experiential exercises, supportive connection, and learning to help participants engage deeply with their inner child. Exercises include mindfulness practices, journaling, art, and somatic awareness, all designed to strengthen your self-connection and nurture your inner child. Each session also includes time for sharing with the group, receiving feedback, and participating in guided discussions on topics related to inner child work.
Throughout the program, participants explore themes such as attachment styles, family roles, the inner teenager, and the journey toward becoming a healthy adult. The group provides a safe and supportive environment where you can learn more about yourself, practice self-expression, and gain insight through both personal exploration and shared experience. By combining reflection, creative expression, and connection, the group creates a space for meaningful growth, healing, and self-discovery.
Women's Inner Child Group's experience working with the Jewish community
Growing up in an Orthodox Jewish community gave me firsthand insight into the unique challenges, pressures, and complexities that can arise in this environment. I understand the nuances, strengths, and struggles often present in Jewish communities, and I bring this awareness into my clinical work with sensitivity and care. Over the years, I have supported clients across the full spectrum—from those who are not religious, to those who are deeply observant, and everyone in between. This wide-ranging experience allows me to approach each person as an individual, honoring their story while remaining attuned to the cultural context that shapes their experiences.
I also work closely with individuals who are questioning or exploring their beliefs, who may have stepped away from religion, or who outwardly appear religious but are no longer practicing internally. Wherever someone finds themselves on their spiritual or personal journey, I aim to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where they can fully bring themselves to therapy. My goal is to respect each person’s values and worldview while supporting them in uncovering their truth, navigating challenges, and cultivating a sense of authenticity, peace, and self-understanding within their own unique path.
