Dr. Johnson is a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has worked in the clinical field since 1995. Grounded in client-centered treatment, Dr. Johnson combines humanistic and cognitive theory into her therapy practice. She continues as a member of the NYC Medical Reserve Corps REST team, the Nassau County Medical Reserve Corps, Nassau County CERT, the American Red Cross Disaster Mental Health team, the Green Cross Team, and as a Diplomate for the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress.

Beyond the therapy room, Dr. Johnson is an Assistant Professor in the Touro College Department of Behavioral Science’s Clinical Mental Health Counselling Program and is proud to have provided service to the field as an educator since 2007. She takes an interest in encouraging the growth of future clinician and has provided private supervision to clinicians for more than 15-years.
