About Beit Daniella

Beit Daniella is a rehabilitative day center in Israel dedicated to empowering, rehabilitating, and reintegrating youth aged 13 to 18 who are struggling with mental health issues. The center was established in memory of Daniella Pardes, a vibrant young girl who battled anorexia from the age of 13. After a three-month hospitalization, Daniella faced challenges reintegrating into her school and community due to the lack of suitable transitional programs. Tragically, at the age of 14, Daniella took her own life. In response, her family founded Beit Daniella to provide other teens with the comprehensive support that Daniella lacked—a rehabilitative stepping stone combining education, a wide range of therapies, and functional responsibilities.

Programs and services offered at Beit Daniella

Beit Daniella offers an intensive short-term program lasting 4 to 6 months, designed to equip youth with vital skills for transitioning back into their families, schools, and communities. The holistic program includes:

  • Individualized Treatment Plans: Each participant receives a personalized plan tailored to their specific needs and challenges.

  • Educational Services: A learning center helps students bridge educational gaps caused by their mental health struggles, focusing on building learning skills and self-confidence.

  • Animal-Assisted Therapy: Situated in a natural setting, the program emphasizes animal therapy, including equine-assisted therapy, to promote emotional healing and responsibility.

  • Group and Individual Therapies: A variety of therapeutic modalities are offered to address emotional regulation, resilience building, and functional skill development.

  • Parental Support: Recognizing parents as primary caregivers, Beit Daniella provides them with skills and support to assist their children effectively.

The center serves non-denominational youth dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, OCD, post-trauma, borderline personality disorder, and eating disorders. It is suitable for teens post-hospitalization or those at home who are not functioning and not attending school due to their mental health conditions. Beit Daniella is not suited for youth in acute states requiring hospitalization or constant supervision.

Jewish Community Experience

Beit Daniella is deeply committed to providing culturally sensitive care that respects and honors the religious and spiritual needs of its participants. The program is designed to accommodate various cultural backgrounds, ensuring that all youth feel supported in a way that aligns with their traditions throughout their therapeutic journey. This inclusive approach fosters a sense of belonging and facilitates effective rehabilitation and reintegration into their communities.
