Adina Rauer, LCSW's style
🎯 Direct 💙 Warm 💡 Solution-oriented 🥇 EmpoweringWhy Adina Rauer, LCSW chose to be in the helping profession
I chose the helping profession because I’ve always had a deep sensitivity to people’s emotions and a strong appreciation for how meaningful it is when someone feels truly understood. From early on, I found myself attuned to what people were feeling beneath the surface, and I’ve always valued creating space where those feelings can be acknowledged without judgment. I also understand how heavy it can feel to carry anxiety, stress, or life transitions alone, especially when it seems like there is nowhere to fully put it down. This perspective is what continues to guide my work and my presence with clients.
My role is to offer a calm, supportive space where you can slow down and begin to make sense of what you are experiencing. I aim to help you feel less alone in what you are carrying, and more grounded as you sort through it. I believe that healing happens in a relationship, through steady and compassionate support over time. My goal is for you to feel gently supported as you move toward greater clarity, steadiness, and a more grounded sense of yourself.
Adina Rauer, LCSW's approach
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in meeting you where you are. I believe meaningful healing happens when you feel safe enough to be honest about what you’re carrying, without pressure to have it all figured out at once. I draw from evidence-based methods such as EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, ERP, and solution-focused therapy, and I tailor each session to your unique needs, goals, and pace. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I work with you in a way that feels responsive and practical.
Together, we gently look at patterns that may be keeping you stuck and begin to build tools that actually fit your real life. The focus is not just on insight, but on creating shifts that feel steady and sustainable over time. I want you to leave sessions feeling understood, but also more grounded in yourself and your ability to cope. Over time, the hope is that you feel more empowered, more capable, and more hopeful about what’s ahead.
What you can expect from sessions with Adina Rauer, LCSW
In our sessions, you can expect a space where you feel truly heard, respected, and not judged. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe for you, taking time to gently explore what’s been weighing on you while also making space for what feels most important in the moment. I aim to create an environment where you don’t have to filter yourself or hold things in, so we can better understand what you’re going through together. The focus is always on meeting you where you are and supporting you as things unfold.
Some sessions may focus more on processing deeper or past experiences, while others may center on building practical tools for managing anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or emotional overwhelm. We’ll work collaboratively to find what actually helps you feel more grounded and steady in your day-to-day life. You can expect compassion, honesty, and a consistent sense of working together rather than something being “done to you.” The goal is for you to leave sessions feeling clearer, more supported, and more confident in how you move through your life outside the therapy room.
Adina Rauer, LCSW's experience working with the Jewish community
I have worked closely within the Jewish community and have a deep understanding of the layers that are often not spoken about openly, including family expectations, religious identity, community pressures, and the ongoing balance between personal needs and communal values. I recognize how complex it can be to navigate these dynamics, especially when they are deeply intertwined with one’s sense of belonging and identity. My goal is to offer a space where these realities are understood without needing long explanations or justification. You can come in as you are, and we can focus on what you are actually carrying.
My work with Holocaust survivors has also given me a profound respect for resilience, as well as a deep awareness of the lasting impact of generational trauma. I carry that experience with a great deal of sensitivity, humility, and care. I do not make assumptions, and I strive to meet each person’s story with openness and respect for its complexity. In our work together, the intention is to create a space where you feel seen in your context, while still having room to focus on your own healing and needs.
