Why Yitzchok A. Pinkesz chose to be in the helping profession

When I discovered how much helpful information an astrological birth chart contains;
When I saw how it can help us make sense of our sometimes complicated and messy lives;
When I realized that our greatest struggles are part of the gifts and strengths that we are here to experience, in order to accomplish our purpose;

I knew that I had to make it my mission to bring this information to the world.
I wrote, Kosher Astrology: A Jewish Guide To Celestial Wisdom, to highlight two facts:

#1: Kosher Astrology is deeply connected to Judaism, it’s a Mitzvah, and is part of our Mesorah (heritage)! Some of our greatest Jewish leaders were professional astrologers (Avraham Avinu, the Ibn Ezra, the Ralbag, Avraham Bar Chiyya etc.)

#2: Kosher Astrology is an incredible tool that can help us understand ourselves and our purpose! It is a love letter, written by G-d the moment we were born, to help guide our lives. Like the Midrash states: Every blade of grass has an astrological energy urging it to grow.

In addition to my book, I also offer personalized one-on-one chart reading sessions that convey incredible amounts of information about our lives, our struggles, gifts, and purpose.

Yitzchok A. Pinkesz's experience working with the Jewish community

In addition to being a Torah-observant Jew, I have had the privilege of working closely with the Jewish community for more than 25 years. Much of my professional life has been devoted to supporting individuals and families in meaningful ways. For many years, I served as the Executive Director of a social services organization dedicated to helping Jewish mothers who were facing difficult challenges. I also had the opportunity to organize and lead retreats for Jewish singles over the holidays, creating space for connection, growth, and inspiration within a supportive environment.

My work has also included collaborating with AOJS, the Association of Orthodox Jewish Scientists, where I was able to engage with and support professionals committed to integrating Torah values with scientific exploration. Through all of these experiences, my love for Klal Yisroel has only deepened. I feel a profound sense of connection and responsibility to my fellow Jews, and it is truly a privilege to serve our community in ways that strengthen, uplift, and bring us closer to our purpose.
