About Therapy in the City

Therapy in the City was built on one core belief: therapy should be accessible, and it should be life-changing. We provide mental health care that is goal-oriented, evidence-based, culturally relevant, and thoughtfully designed around each client’s individual needs. We understand that no two people enter therapy with the same experiences, challenges, or goals, which is why our care is never one-size-fits-all. Every client deserves support that feels personal, purposeful, and grounded in clinical excellence.

With in-person locations across the country, our mission remains unwavering: to provide exceptional therapy to every client who walks through our doors. Wherever you are in your healing, you deserve care that is grounded, compassionate, and true to who you are. We are honored that you are considering trusting us with this part of your journey. When you are ready to begin, we are ready to walk alongside you.

Programs and services offered at Therapy in the City

Therapy in the City supports clients experiencing ADD and ADHD, anxiety, chronic worry, depression, grief, insomnia, panic disorder, perfectionism, social anxiety, trauma, and borderline personality disorder. We also treat obsessive-compulsive disorder across all subtypes, illness anxiety, phobias and specific fears, eating disorders, and performance anxiety related to business, social media, and the arts.

Our therapists work with children experiencing behavioral challenges, as well as individuals navigating divorce, separation, relationships, dating, religious anxiety, and perinatal or postpartum anxiety and depression. We also provide couples therapy, family therapy, and parenting support to help clients strengthen relationships, develop practical skills, and create meaningful change in their daily lives.

Jewish Community Experience

We have had the honor of working with children, families, and young women in both community-based programs and outpatient clinics. Through this work, we have supported clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, religious identity, religious anxiety, and many other deeply personal challenges. We understand that culture, faith, family, and community can shape the way people experience emotional distress and approach the healing process. Our care is sensitive to these layers and grounded in respect for each client’s individual relationship with Judaism.

Our hope is always to create a space where clients feel safe enough to explore what they are carrying without fear of judgment or misunderstanding. We meet each person with compassion, curiosity, and an appreciation for the experiences that have shaped them. Together, we help clients work through difficult emotions, strengthen their relationships, and move toward greater relief and clarity. It is a privilege to support members of the Jewish community as they navigate healing, growth, and meaningful change.

What our clients have to say about working with us:

  • "I can't say enough positive things about Nikki and how much she's helped me in the short time I've been seeing her. I've been a client of hers for a little over a year and in that time she's helped me overcome several challenges, including tackling a difficult, but necessary move, advocating for myself at work and setting boundaries in my personal relationships. I tried several therapists before Nikki, but no one has helped me as much as she has. She was quick to get me in for my first appointment, has been kind and patient with me and has been a wonderful, supportive presence in my life. I wouldn't be where I am today without her!"

  • "Janna is an exceptional therapist. She knows exactly how to make you feel comfortable and secure right from the get-go. It feels seamlessly easy to open up to her and build a trusting relationship with her. She has helped me improve so much as a friend, family member, and coworker, and I look forward to continuing to work with her for hopefully a long time to come."

  • "Marcy is a phenomenal practitioner. She is completely non-judgmental. She holds space in a way that is simultaneously comforting and lovingly challenging. Every time I talk to Marcy, I emerge feeling more like myself and happier with who that self is. Since working with Marcy, I have noticed my anxiety is significantly decreased and my general sense of stability has increased. I feel more connected to my joy and better able to cope with the inevitable difficult moments in life. Thank you, Marcy, for your unwavering support!"

  • "We have had a really difficult time finding a therapist for my teenage daughter, and I am so glad that we finally found Therapy In The City. My daughter is extremely shy and has a hard time opening up with anyone, the idea of therapy was definitely overwhelming for her. I can see the positive impact therapy has had on my daughter, she is able to articulate and navigate her emotions and this has positively impacted our family and her relationships."
