Sharni Brodesky, M.Sc.Med, B.Sc.'s style
💙 Warm 👂 Listener 💡 Solution-oriented 🙌 AffirmingWhy Sharni Brodesky, M.Sc.Med, B.Sc. chose to be in the helping profession
I chose this profession because I believe that every person deserves to feel heard, supported, and understood. I have always had a natural ability to connect with people, and I genuinely love getting to know their personal stories, which never cease to amaze me. I am deeply inspired by the resilience of the human spirit and the capacity people have to heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves. Even during life’s most challenging moments, I believe there is room for greater understanding, meaningful change, and renewed hope.
It is a privilege to walk alongside people as they navigate difficult experiences, relationships, and transitions. I believe that a safe and compassionate therapeutic relationship can help people feel less alone and create meaningful, lasting change. Being able to support others as they reconnect with their inner strengths and move toward a more fulfilling life gives my work purpose and meaning. I feel honored to witness each person’s journey and to provide a space where they can feel truly seen and understood.
Sharni Brodesky, M.Sc.Med, B.Sc.'s approach
My approach to therapy is gentle, collaborative, and tailored to your unique experiences, circumstances, and needs. I aim to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel seen, understood, and supported. Your reality is important to me, as is your experience of feeling connected and not alone in the room. Our work will move at a pace that feels manageable and respectful of where you are.
I draw on EMDR, DBT, and IFS to help you process difficult experiences, understand your emotional patterns, and reconnect with your inner strengths. Rather than telling you what to do, I help you build confidence in your own ability to make meaningful choices. You will gain practical tools, coping skills, insight, and evidence-based interventions that can support you both inside and outside of therapy. Together, we will work toward meaningful, lasting change in a way that feels right for you.
What you can expect from sessions with Sharni Brodesky, M.Sc.Med, B.Sc.
You can expect a warm, compassionate space where you do not have to face life’s challenges alone. Our sessions will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, without pressure or judgment. Together, we will explore the experiences, relational dynamics, and emotional or internal challenges affecting your relationships, work, parenting, or other important areas of your life. You will have room to speak openly, better understand yourself, and feel supported through whatever you are facing.
Along the way, you will gain practical tools, evidence-based interventions, and meaningful insights that you can apply in your everyday life. We will work together to identify patterns, strengthen your coping skills, and help you respond to challenges in ways that feel healthier and more aligned with who you are. My hope is that therapy will help you become more self-compassionate, confident, resilient, and connected to yourself. Ultimately, I want you to feel better equipped to move forward and pursue the goals and relationships that matter most to you.
Sharni Brodesky, M.Sc.Med, B.Sc.'s experience working with the Jewish community
I have extensive experience working with members of the Jewish community across a wide range of ages, backgrounds, identities, and levels of religious observance. This includes seminary aged women, yeshiva bochurim, soldiers and reservists, individuals from Haredi and Chassidic communities, and those from more modern or secular backgrounds. I have also supported members of open and LGBTQ communities, converts to Judaism, and people from different socioeconomic circumstances. My experience includes working with individuals navigating shidduchim and dating, religious identity concerns, family dynamics, community expectations, and other personal challenges.
Living and working in Israel for the past 13 years has given me the privilege of meeting and supporting Jewish people from many different backgrounds. I understand that each person’s relationship with Judaism, family, culture, and community is deeply personal. I approach every client with sensitivity, openness, and respect for their individual experiences and values. This allows me to feel comfortable serving a diverse range of Jewish clients while creating a space where each person can feel understood without assumptions or judgment.
