Why Michal Wakefield chose to be in the helping profession

I became an NTP because I know firsthand what it feels like to be completely depleted and not have the answers. Moms are constantly giving—to their kids, their partners, their homes—and their own health almost always comes last. I wanted to be the person who finally puts the mom at the center, helping her reclaim her energy and feel like herself again. I chose this work because I truly believe that when a mother feels well, her whole family feels it too.

There is nothing more meaningful to me than supporting women as they go from running on empty to thriving in their daily lives. I love helping moms identify what their bodies truly need and guiding them toward small, sustainable changes that make a real difference. Each woman I work with reminds me why this work matters: when she regains her vitality, confidence, and balance, it ripples through every part of her life. My goal is to make that transformation feel achievable, empowering, and deeply rewarding.

Michal Wakefield's approach

My approach is rooted in what I call the Restored Mother Method, a framework built around four key pillars: mineral balance through HTMA, nourishment that supports blood sugar and adrenal health, nervous system regulation, and self-respect practices like setting boundaries, holding realistic expectations, and shifting the way we talk to ourselves. I believe that true, lasting change only happens when all of these pieces are addressed together, not in isolation. Each pillar works in harmony to help a woman reclaim her energy, feel grounded, and reconnect with herself.

Beyond the method itself, I show up for my clients as someone who genuinely listens. I am an empath by nature, and I take the time to really hear what a woman is carrying before we ever look at lab results. My tone is warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental, and I want every client to feel fully seen and understood from the very first conversation. This work is deeply personal to me, and that intention comes through in how I hold space for the women I work with, creating a safe and empowering environment for real transformation.

What you can expect from sessions with Michal Wakefield

When we work together, you can expect a process that is thorough, personalized, and based on your actual biology—not generic advice. We begin with a detailed intake where I get to understand your symptoms, your history, and what your day-to-day life really looks like. From there, we use HTMA, or Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis, to get a clear picture of what’s happening inside your body at a cellular level. This allows us to create a plan that goes beyond just food and supplements, because true healing requires addressing the bigger picture.

What sets my approach apart from other HTMA practitioners is that we also focus on the lifestyle factors that directly affect your mineral status and overall wellbeing. We work on nervous system regulation, carving out real time for yourself, and building boundaries that actually protect your energy. Your body cannot heal in a state of constant depletion and stress, and no supplement alone can fix that. By addressing all of these elements together, we create lasting change that supports your body, your mind, and your life.

Michal Wakefield's experience working with the Jewish community

I am Jewish myself, and most of the moms I have worked with have been Jewish women, so I understand this world from the inside. Jewish moms carry a tremendous load: many are raising large families, managing busy households, supporting a husband who is working long hours or learning, and often doing much of it quietly without much support. That level of ongoing demand takes a real physical toll, and mineral depletion is extremely common among women living this way. I don’t need to explain the lifestyle or the pressures — I live it too, and that shared understanding shapes how I show up for every client.

My goal is to meet Jewish moms exactly where they are and give them the tools to truly sustain everything they are carrying. I focus on practical strategies that fit into real life, helping women prioritize their own health without adding more stress or guilt. By combining personalized nutrition, lifestyle guidance, and support for self-care, I help moms feel grounded, energized, and capable of caring for themselves while still caring for their families.

Michal Wakefield's Book Recommendation Zone

  • You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay
A classic in the mind-body space, this book explores the connection between our thoughts, emotions, and physical health. Louise Hay makes the case that many of our struggles — including physical symptoms — are tied to deeply held beliefs about ourselves, and she offers practical tools for shifting those patterns. It is a gentle but powerful read for anyone doing healing work.
  • Hangry By Sarah Fragoso and Dr. Brooke Kalanick
This book is a practical guide for women who are exhausted, moody, and running on empty — and can't figure out why. A bestselling wellness author and a functional medicine doctor team up to explain how hormone imbalances affect everything from your energy and mood to your metabolism and cravings. It is the kind of book that makes you feel seen and validated, and helps you understand that what you are experiencing has real, biological roots.
  • The Three Conditions by Moshe Gersht
A beautiful blend of Torah wisdom and practical spirituality, this book explores three core conditions — intention, certainty, and joy — and how living in alignment with them can genuinely shift the way you show up in your life. Moshe Gersht has a gift for making deep spiritual concepts feel accessible and real. I recommend it to any woman who is doing inner work alongside the physical healing.
