Why Kayla Wayntraub chose to be in the helping profession

Being able to contribute to someone's personal growth and observe the transformative effects it has on their life is an absolute honor. It brings me great happiness to witness individuals gradually discover their hidden strengths, acknowledge their inherent value, and cultivate a profound sense of self-kindness. The joy I experience is unparalleled when I see them embrace self-acceptance and witness the positive changes that stem from therapy. I have always possessed a deep empathy and genuine concern for others. At times, individuals require an external perspective to recognize the inner beauty and resilience they possess.

As a therapist, I have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives, offering guidance and support during their journey. By providing a safe space, fostering trust, and actively listening, I can help individuals navigate challenges, gain insights, and develop effective coping strategies. Assisting them in uncovering their own potential is both rewarding and fulfilling.

This profession allows me to utilize my natural inclination to care for others and channel it into a purposeful career. It is immensely gratifying to witness individuals progress, overcome obstacles, and experience personal growth. Being able to empower others to discover their own path to healing and well-being is an invaluable privilege that I am grateful for every day.

Kayla Wayntraub's experience working with the Jewish community

With my background as an Orthodox Jew, I have a deep understanding of the Jewish community. In addition to my clinical experience, I have had the opportunity to engage with the community in various ways. During my teenage years and early adulthood, I dedicated several summers as a staff member at Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special, which are sleep-away camps for children battling chronic illnesses and cancer. It was an incredible privilege to connect with these resilient individuals and work closely with them.

Furthermore, I have also served as a teacher in a pre-school for a number of years. This experience allowed me to witness the unique dynamics within the Jewish community and develop a deeper appreciation for the values, traditions, and challenges that individuals and families may encounter.

By being actively involved in these settings, I have gained valuable insights and firsthand knowledge of the experiences, struggles, and strengths that are specific to the Jewish community. This enables me to approach therapy with cultural sensitivity and understanding while respecting and honoring the beliefs and traditions of my clients.

I am committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for individuals from the Jewish community to explore their concerns, find support, and enhance their overall well-being. I recognize the importance of cultural competence and strive to integrate this understanding into our therapeutic work, tailoring it to meet the unique needs and backgrounds of each individual.
